Site looks good. Those Angelfire pop-up ads are driving me crazy, though. I can probably host the site on my backup web server. Updating would consist of you e-mailing me the changed HTML and me dropping it into place. I can't imagine we'd have so much traffic it'd compromise the business, but let me run it by my partner first, to keep him in the know. What do you think? ~SDC~

I think I'll take both of your advice. I'll take the rest of this week off, and then try Maso. :) It's kind of surprising how easy Crippling is when compared to Painful- not much of a difference at all. It's my understanding that Maso is an order of magnitude harder, though. I wonder if they'll add another level between Crippling and Maso? ~SDC~ [Message Edited]

I keep almost starting a game, and then stopping. I fear I might be pushing the envelope of GalCiv burn-out. :notsure: Big maps take too long. I like the small maps but dislike that I've got to step off the gas and 'tech-up' in order to score well. I might try Maso but it sounds like more of a chore than a game. Maybe I'll play something else for awhile... ~SDC~

OK, I finished my first game with your mods. Medium galaxy so I didn't hit too many of the Anomalies. The +2 attack one is nice though. It's good that you switched the requirement for Economic Computers, as you mentioned there was another TG for the original tech requirement. I like the Galactic Resort alot. I'm keeping that one around. :) Life Seeding is not for me. Too much PQ bonus makes the game too easy, JMO. YMMV, of course. ~SDC~
From my observations, the Aliens had no advantage from my changes...
I see, they must not have picked your changed attributes. Interesting, I'll have to dig in further. You might have found a loophole. ;) ~SDC~
The force of the blow threw the halfling alchemist backwards, his body slamming into the valley wall. H5O’s body slid down slowly, collapsing like a rag doll onto the floor.
Ouch! Sucks to be me. I can't wait to see how this turns out, very riveting read... ~SDC~

:) Thank you for the invite but I feel most comfortable in the Fellowship. As far as automating goes, it looks like it would be possible. For instance, when you click on a player to get their 'history' page, the link looks like so (for you, in this example): galciv.com/info.asp?accountID=670486 I left out the full URL to avoid the auto-formatting of links. In theory, one could right a program which sent requests for everyone on the Jedi roster, swapping

Thanks much. No really good pictures of Chewbacca gettin' it on (obviously), but I found one where he's got a 'come hither' look, hopefully that'll suffice. If the Jedis want to post it on their site, great. Right now, you can download the event at: http://www.ctuit.com/bill/wookielovin.zip ~SDC~
But would I be correct in assuming that the Aliens also have ability picks... so would share benefits?
Yup. It's hard to get an edge on them. ;) IOW = In Other Words And thanks for the kind words. :) ~SDC~ [Message Edited]

:) If someone points me to a public domain picture of a Wookie, I'll whip up TheQuack's event so the Jedi's can post it on their site... Actually, I've already made the event, giggling the entire time, mind you. But I need a picture for it. Any help? ~SDC~
So the only way you would be able to create a "super party" would be to have unlimited ability picks. Do you or does anyone know where that info is stored?
To raise the amount of ability picks, you have to hack the game. There was a trainer out back in the day that allowed you to do this, but the pace of Stardock upgrades has outstripped the hackers' capacity to keep up. IOW, you can't do this easily. However, you can change what your 10 points will buy you. T
Negative PQ event choice not having effect bug fixed.
Oh yes, they fixed this in Beta 1. :) No more taking the negative PQ choice safe in the knowledge that you won't suffer any actual deleterious effects. PQ affecting events are the only ones I'll not go 'Good' on.
event effects remain on planet after disband.
Makes sense that if positive events stack, negative events would stack as well. ~SDC~
Do they, the Aliens that is, use the same political parties and hence the benefits... or are their skills increased to match the "power" of the party I created?
The Aliens are smart enough to know a good deal when they see it. ;) The AI in this game is sophisticated enough to weigh the advantages of each Political Party and choose accordingly. Undoubtedly each of the AIs picked your party as well, and proceeded to whoop you with your own mod. :)

Sorry, but I was too lazy to give you credit in my, somewhat lacking readme Forgive me please!!
:) Don't worry about it. I'm not concerned with recognition, just that people are getting use out of it. Thanks for the blurb, though! :) ~SDC~
