Two thoughts on this.

First, with the website finally going, and the fact that I'm still not ready to dive back into full-time GalCiv, I'm thinking about working on a custom ship design or two. But, there's a lot of files involved; while I can slog my way through the artwork and the text files without real problems, I'm clueless on the rest of it, including putting together an installer so that the files don't have to be manually copied into the correct subdirectories. How about a Jedi Starfighter or Millennium Falcon patch for GalCiv? Defenders with lower upkeep that are actually capable against an attacking Dreadnought...we can do it...

Second, you might want to check out CDG's site at:

They do some good work for the community and are always looking for help with mods and utilities.

BTW, found an image of the actual Saint Blasius crest on the web! Do you want it for your "mugshot" photo on the new website?

Thanks for the plug. Although I had a chuckle with the "blue happy face" lightsaber for your game alignment...

Side note - it's AWFULLY tough to find a "happy" looking mugshot of Dooku on the Web! Plenty of shots of him shooting lightning bolts and chopping off arms though.

A couple of months or so- Basically, Ive been at work over the summer, and have been spending my time elsewhere... goos to see this place goes well..
I still have like 3 games I want to submit to the metaverse, but no net connection at home till mid-august, so Im just waiting for that.

Wow! The website is really great! My background is in programming, but I'm stuck doing QA at work since I don't have any commercial experience. A custom installer isn't too hard, but the most I've done so far is just placing files into directories. If all it needs is to replace text and graphic files, then thats easy. If you need to append or modify existing files, then it will be more work. Plus an uninstall would be nice too I would be interested in working with you on this. Have you tried the Star Wars Mod to see what they have modified?



Sure you can put it up there. I can see how it looks and decide if I want to use it.

Just checking in to all my old friends in the Republic. Master Yoda, I'm about to win my first masso game. Been working on this for a while now. I've come close several times but it turned out the dark side was just toying with me. I've suffered several losses but I've learned a lot in the process.

Also, great job on the website. Truely worthy of the Great Jedi Order!

I see that a few changes to the site are in order. They'll be taken care of in a few hours. On a side note, I see that we have a new Jedi in the ranks. Welcome aboard, MythicalMino. And welcome back, Aadik!

StBlasius, MadMaz's SW mod replaces all of the existing ship designs, I believe, as part of the "complete conversion" theme. It would be nice to have any new ships created as a bonus installation so that people who don't have the SW mod installed can use them. This should be possible, as the original Bonus Pack gave us a few new designs that show up in the GalCiv subdirectories as separate files.

CariElf posted a ship utility on the Mods page back in the infancy of the Metaverse - I have downloaded it and will dig into it over the next couple of days to see what's going to be required. Stay tuned!

Dooku, Yoda had a few too many one night and started spouting off about "the future." Something about you swinging a red lightsaber and me glowing blue. Although we took notes just in case, it might have been just too much stale beer.

Master Yoda is always mindful of the future, as any Jedi should be. But his hidden beer stash is lying around somewhere. We just know it. Somehow, it is disguised from the GROSS beer detectors.

Funny, but Obi Wan and Master Yoda, I don't think that Jedi are supposed to let themselves go in 'that' way. I have finished the event if you could look at it. Are you guys in a chat anywhere?
