Man that is a lot of hostility. The DLC is half off on steam (currently) but it is worth the buy at full price. Played since near the beginning and the changes are drastic. Also if you are unhappy with Stardock’s response I suggest you find a new hobby they are much more responsive then also any other dev I’ve seen. Buy crusade. Citizens alone make the game way more interesting and allow amazing degree of customizability. Or play the ba

Legions available means you can build a transport ship and put that many legions inside it. Unlike GalCiv 2 you don’t use regular population to invade planets you use legions at least with the dlc installed. I’m honestly unsure what it is like in the legacy version of the game. No bug just a new resource. There are a lot of them.

What map size and setting are the AI on? Also what DLC are you playing with? The AI can be somewhat pacified if you mass a bunch of basically useless ships with guns and low range that make your military a paper tiger. The AI doesn’t know your useless army is a paper tiger but they will back off and not give you ripe for conquest. I use these basically useless ships as scouts and this helps prevent the AI from DoW immediately. Also the ideology in the pragmatic tree is abo

I found this to be a problem until I increased the galaxy size and decreased the Number of AI. Immense is a bit to small and ludicrous is a bit to big so I go with ludicrous and 7 AI the exploration phase is about 70 to 150 turns so this is a long game but I’ll play the same game for a month and not mind. The only problem with low AI is less trade partners for missing resources.

Something like a create permanent fleet button when you have a fleet. Although the game remembering merged fleets might make it more resource intense. It would be useful. Also could we get a withdraw button if you are the attacking party. Although this is a very minor gripe it’s my own damn fault I sent the discovery ship into battle after giving away all the old copies off my escort ships in a trade for resources boondoggle. Really that is just a band aid b

From the way combat works at least from what I understand no matter how powerful a ships weapons are it only fires once per round stacking massive weapon loads or numerous types doesn’t change this making impressive ships prone to swarming attacks which is acceptable but when it cost you nothing to preform endless swarming attacks because the interceptors magically replenish at the end of combat not mention they also magically upgrade as you unlock new weapons tech and that also doesn&r

That is a good idea any ship inside a carrier cost no logistics. I also agree they only be for large or massive hulls. I also think a maintenance cost for a carry should be somewhat expensive.

I had this in the artifact thread and then decided it distracted from the message. Also kinda get why Herb got so upset in the previous thread. Still not the best course of action imo because what you said was valid and now no one can read it. Anyways I don’t use carriers unless I feel the game cheated me because I consider them cheap and ridiculously overpowered. It would make me excessively happy to have the ability to turn that tech off. Or just a carrier fix. I

I’m ok with some lesser powered artifacts in the mix also some of the sting is taken out of hearthstone on much bigger maps. What would be truly amazing is if we could select certain artifacts not to appear and certain techs. Artifact prevalence slider. Excellent. Artifact prevalence slider that also allows you to exclude artifacts. Fucking Amazing and I preorder the founders edition of GC4 the day it hits market. Also love from numerous other players. Again I’m ig

I like the artifacts yes some are incredibly OP but I wish I could set them to rare so more regular resources would spawn on worlds because this I always seem to have a problem with.

8 Replies 28,829 Views

I am speaking to the artifacts you find on the worlds, I wish they had a slider like anomalies. I feel a lot of people would like this slider.

8 Replies 28,829 Views

I’m ignorant about how difficult this would be but could there be a way to implement a way to adjust the prevalence of artifacts like anomalies. I think a lot of people would enjoy having this setting.

What size map are you playing on and with how many AIs? I play on a larger map with only a few AI I think about what worlds I am going to colonize. Definitely delay colonizing worlds close to my home world. I do really like the idea of races having different worlds they can colonize I feel this would be a drastic good change and make the game more interesting. I do hope it will be something considered for GC4.

This has been asked for by numerous people and numerous times. I play synthetic so this doesn’t bother me but I feel for you meatbags and your moral. If you made a mod that allowed synthetics to build the administration center that gives +1 administrator I would download it and it would be my first mod. Playing on larger maps without it difficult.

Also could we make cities destructible. They weren’t then they were and now they aren’t. Synthetics don’t need your putrid festering cities.

First of all this company reminds me of old school Bethesda circa Morrowind’s release you guys just go for it. Sometimes you really overreach but the vision and plan itself are greatness. To me there are merely four things holding back this game from true greatness. 1st Is for everyone is there anyway government colony caps can be based on number of available planets that can be colonized. Well I say everyone but I can just ignore colony caps as

This was a bug they had previously fixed and it is unintended. In the fixed version I think they may have even over nerfed tourism. Because without playing into it it won’t do much for you.

I started with the base game several years ago and the game now is so much more involved. Maybe because I have only been playing 4X games for a few years but I feel for a person jumping in it might be a lot unless they are a 4X player. Not that this is a bad thing I love this game but there are some serious flaws. I truly hope they aren’t finished here. I don’t think it needs another expansion or more DLC but I hope they give this a few more final coats of paint and don’t le

I don’t play with minor races either since they are no longer useful. Personally id rather see some effort to resource management then a work done to improve minor races. If I want more interactive AI I just add another regular AI to the map

9 Replies 76,850 Views

Also the government that gives bonus to diplomacy for trade routes is freaking OP use that shit as synthetic and revel in the AI love. Since morale don’t matter I use that government until I’m ready to either mass ships are start off on the warpath since the AIs love to trade doesn’t even require any work on my part.

The black market doesn’t exist the galactic market place does but it has limited quantities. I was hoping they would add a second market place to make the pains of resource management a little more bearable when the map screws you. A market usable by all government but with something like X7 the cost of the regular resource so that and 1/7th the sell value. Also with resources unavailable on the regular market would be X15 so a resource missing from the market place could be brought wit
