You can trade files by email or upload an download files with any file sharing websites such as Mediafire. We are also hoping Stardock will add a file share page for ships and mods in the future.
Great so I can start building a custom race right now :), the ships at least! I hope they add it soon too, so we don't lose these great ships people are making, if not, can we just setup a temporary

Early game, I don't mind the varied starts, it makes every game different, I don't need the exact same balance each time. Mid game, I agree to an extent to help races from running away too much, especially very productive ones. Minor races will help slow this, I hope, claiming a planet and possibly a system for themselves. If you settle in their system I hope they drive you out of it, at least till later game. Give minor races some nice defensive ships
Based on racetype would be great, unique to each race (letting modders select which race to use or mod in their own tech), would be amazing.
Maybe this is a placeholder for the next step, maybe they are set to become a minor race after you conquer them, like a subjugated race?
Ok...last post for me. Because I can't handle this kind of thing anymore. So...let me see if I've got this right. You all seem to think that the natural laws of the universe are somehow different, not clear on the other side of the universe where there's at least an incalculably small chance it could be true, but right here in our own galaxy, where the idea is so absurd that it would inherently end the conce
I imagine someone is going to build something epic around this meme if it stays in many more builds, you have been warned :) The upright race shall spell your doom.
1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? What parts do you remember long after playing the most? The more individual a race is in its interactions with me. That is the more a race sounds like it's own race, own personality, own text, with its own goals and the less like a generic AI the better. Galciv had some of this in ideologi
Ships are all player created ship designs done with the in game ship designer. They are not in the actual game. Every ship designer here has created ships they will use for races already in the games or a customized race the player will create.
I am asking if we can export custom ships so another player can use them either separately or in a package with a custom race, so we can make race/ship mods. <br
/snip/ Rather the issue will be that the alien turns will take a while. /snip/ You do realize how long you will be waiting for each turn if its updating a 64gb page file. It would be do your turn, walk away, 10 minutes later do your turn again...
Many thanks, I love modding but i've held off digging in till now, I haven't modded galciv for years so I can't even remember how i used to do it.
I am wondering if this is because of a feature we have yet to see added, if not yes please put it on a loop, I always thought that best way to do it.
And as we talked about in another thread briefly, please make it so we can export our custom ship designs to a file, then import them for the custom modded races.
Can we export these designs we make to use in custom races, when they are in? These are beautiful.
Can you edit a savegame and turn back the turn number? I haven't looked at it yet.
We need to start grabbing your tweaks and putting them into a mini mod :), would you be willing to do that, or let someone else do so?

NM found the answer, was going to ask how to reset the PW, thanks a lot.
Took me A minute to get what you were asking. I think you are asking about the yor factory upgrade bug fix & ideology lock hackishfix that sidesteps it? Those are the only two outright "fixes", everything else has been experimental tweaking of things like research speed & such so not "fixes" perse. Changing starspread from 0 to 2-3ish(higher=even closer)is a preference thing(I like 2:) where people can find their own ha
Greetings for my Saareth account, as you can see I can login here, but my password or email address do not work at https://esupport.stardock.com/ They do however work at https://store.stardock.com The other problem is with my markmid account, which I have decided to try and address again. One of my suggestions was two further settings at either end of the scale, and also a bonus to tile amount on the option screen (or tile bonus likelihood) For both those people who enjoy more planets and less but bigger ones. In fact you could do four, and still people would only have more options.
This is great news! I had seen the files linked separately that needed bug fixing, but do you have a copy of all of them together? Nevermind I saw your link :), sorry it is early and I am full of egg nog heh

I know I proposed it! lol [e digicons];P[/e]
Definitely a step in the right direction for the trading races, but also some modifier to relations would help distinguish them, bonuses for trading, penalties for not trading seems a logical extension of the current system. These suggested options obviously work for slower and faster computers. Planet tile size bonus -5 to +5 (Less planets, less processing but bigger initial output to make up for it, makes the terraforming tech line less useful however.) ^ I'd like this in anyway for really big galaxies to save on micromanagement. Along with 2 further settings for how many stars and planets spawn in the galaxy, one on each end of the scale past abundant

As they state that the Humans are a plague. And being that they are the last race to be added to the game (aside from expansions or DLC's) I see them as being the evil threat. Otherwise Humans -
Yes definitely a box for this would be useful.
