What is needed is distinction between the races, for modders this should be a race type setting. Wartime trading: No to most races, yes to the warlike races. War to them is more like peace to us, or it should be. However yes they wouldn't want you getting your hands on their ships or weapons techs, but I don't think they'd care less about their environmental techs. Some races shouldn't want to trade you this fullstop even in peacetime, or be m

That's one way to do it but i'd prefer to keep them unique. The drengin AI should just get a constant desire to go to war with races on their borders, so everyone else should get a penalty to the drengin OR their AI just has a setting called breathing room. They should be always ready for war, especially against anyone weaker than they are or on their borders. An easy way to do this is triple or double the border relations modifier for drengin. If they were

It seems an upgrade to the surrender mechanic I never really enjoyed in the last few games, (and am hoping to get the option to turn off) as it always felt like a cheat previous. Must confess I still haven't played long enough in a war to beat someone into becoming a pirate i've been restarting my games till combat is in anyway or the AI gets worked on. Becoming pirates though really does change the game a bit, I think they should be working with other pirates to setup outposts in spa

If you continue to call me a troll, a liar or a whore, or tell me to **** off expect me to respond indefinitely, and yes expect me to be angry, as it is not civil discourse it is insulting and rude.

Is that the tactical top down game, I saw total biscuit and angry joe's playthrough of it, it looked quite fun! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY5vP7EqsyM Wonder what happened?

By posting again, you agreed that you are trolling. I'm not determining it, you are. You are also trolling because you refused to accept my offer to stay on track on the conversation: anyways, any other fun comments ab

Mostly because it's just a standardized AI and the races don't have individual personalities yet, they all share common preferences. As to why, what do the minus and plus columns tell you? As an example, i'd like to see the iridium corporation give extra ++ relationship bonuses for trading, and a penalty for not trading with them (if you have the tech and several trade routes). I'd like to see the dregin more warlike, and have a desire to expand borders constantly.<

No, sorry hold on, labeling people as trolling or not trolling is not your call, it's not even your job to tell people when to post or not post. Swearing at them is even less called for. If someone has upset you in the past I am sorry, but that wasn't me, and it wasn't the next poster. Honestly, I can comprehend what you are saying but it is so far out of my own experience these days. People's needs for superiority come about because they require a reaction

Regardless of the AI numbers, just the big galaxies we have now will lead to a lot of planets. I tend to like the idea of universal planetary build queues which I just had. When you've got your first main dozen colonies up, and you are colonizing your 20th planet, already we could use them. One possibly way to implement them. A Planetary design screen, when you can create several custom queues that you just set planets to build. But what if it's got le

The problem with this issue is, you can't discuss it because people get banned. You might as well write piracy is bad and move on, or just lock the discussion to start with. Also and I know I may get a wrap on the knuckles for even bringing it up, but if a discussion does not take place somewhere, nothing changes. I am not however advocating you do it on a game developers forum.

Same for me. Try a 3 player godlike game with the Yor on a huge galaxy to test it, I haven't, but I suspect mid/late game they will be stronger if they have enough room. They have to halt production to make population, and as others have said I don't think they do this intelligently yet, in fact deciding when and when not to do it will be the biggest challenge for the devs in their AI code. After a colony ship? Check, easy one, but when else? Maybe listing a few
Of course very large scale games, though insane, sound very attractive, superficially. But I think there almost inevitably has to be a problem when there are a LOT of AI factions. As in Civ, it is almost inevitable that some faction will snowball while they are completely out of reach. The issue for me is two fold. How predictable the game plays. How repetitive the same actions are with no thought involved, thought is crucial and more weight needs to be given to every decision, with more consequences. Techs: The number of techs isn't the problem, it's the frequency of them. Slow down tech pacing and you'll not only have a longer game but also make each discovery more meaningful. Though I do agr

It is not a hostile takeover. You're approach would make since if they were "forced" to join another civ, but this does not represent that.
For all the reasons I put in my post. Some of those citizens would be forced to join, flipping simply represents the majority cu
