Hi stradock! Happy holidays to you folks, and to everyone else on those forums. There have been a lot of talk of more new content coming out soon(ish). I wonder if you can give us some spoilers, screenshots, a sneak peak treat for the New Year. It been so long since last developer stream or something. Anyways, cheers!

Unlike Archronous, I'm not disappointed with anything at all. I was pleasantly surprised to see the new DLC, and i loved everything about it. In fact, it came out on my birthday, so thank you for the gift! Can't wait to see more exciting features with future expansions and DLC's. Cheers!
banned for unnecessarily long sentence above.
Hi Stardock, and fellow Space Emperors! Here is my input: 1) I loved the Mercenaries expansion, the return of two original races, and the addition of the mercs, gave the game a lot more replay value. 2) It was more like a well done DLC, i'm enjoying it very much; but i don't see it as an expansion. Where is simply not enough content in it. 3) If the expansion had more stuff in it, it could have easily been priced at 30$, and people would buy it. <p
I tried the expansion earlier today. Fun ! Good work folks! The mercs can REALLY change a terrible situation to a good one, and vice versa. Its like poker with a wild card in the deck.
Hello Stardock, and fellow Space Lords ! I have a question(s) about this expansion, if you be kind to hear them. 1) a : Are the Torians the only new race added in this new expansion ? b : How about Arceans ? DIdn't we liberate their homeworld in the campaign already ? Are there any other aliens? 2) a : Governments: Are the elections finally back in the game ? (i miss the adrenaline of elections very much from Gal Civ 2. My gameplay was such, wh
I suppose it comes down, to what we expect of a game. I simply expect a nice sci-fi civ builder in space. It doesn't have to be a movie or some kind of VI.... If i wanted this to be more then a game, or a game of something else, i too, probably would think its horrible. However, i do not. As far as, Gal Civ III being a good 4x strategy game, im fairly satisfied.
I don't think there is anything wrong with UI, what u gotta use a "hatchet". While i agree, it could use some additional love, some of the info is very hard to understand or find... but it not a serious issue, as far as i see it. Government and elections, or rather lack of them, as they where in Gal Civ 2, is the only thing i seem to be really missing from Gal Civ2. I dont design ships, so i cant speak much about that... I only wish where was more base ships to choose from.
i got it. thx!
I own the Founders Elite Edition and the new DLC is not showing up in my list of owned DLC's. (Steam)
Absolutely ! Supper Massive Black whole event better! Maybe a unique resource as well ? found only at galaxy center ? Would be very cool!
Is it possible to bring back the Gal Civ 2 voting system ? Simply researching my government is such a Y.Collective thing to do. I liked the elections very much, it gave chemistry to the event. It gave suspense. Sometimes i would loose the elections... Actually i would loose them very often. I miss that system very much. Without it, government seems sterile. Thanks for reading! Keep up the good work Stardock!
Voice over for ship combat animation. I have an issue with that. It may be fun once or twice, and ok first 50 times. But it will eventually bug and annoy hell out of me, if every time i order my fleet to attack something, i hear same line of dialogue again and again.... Voice over for diplomacy and other, larger systems, can be cool. Just not for mundane tasks that player does (often more then once) per turn, is too much.
There is nothing wrong with having blue aliens in the game, or any other color. That im asking for is consistency, while those blue ppl can be another kewl gal civ. Bottom line, i never ever had played none humans in Gal Civ 1 or 2. So for me its purely aesthetic, and lore related interest. To that end, outside of main campaign (and also Drengin, in the Dark Avatar expansion), i never liked vanilla Terrans, and always used a custom made human civilization (Argon Gal
Actually since we raising this anyway, the whole story of Altarian survival, against the looming Drengin conquest, i don't buy it. It amounts to magic, may as well have added dragons and the castle of Camelot into that back story; "Hello, Drengi, im the new, blue Altarian leader. Winter is coming! Dun-Dun-Dun" lol Rewrite it. There could be any number of plausible explanations as to why they survived. Could be, that the last ditch effort of Altarian naval engineers payed off,
Old Altarians are better! Make someone else blue! What happened with all the, "mysterious coincidence" of looking exactly like human beings ? Did they like go : "alright, we had enough of those earthlings! lets be different! Oh, i know! Lets paint our self blue, like in that 20th century Avatar movie, it will confuse the hell out of them." lol
Hello Stardock! Love the way game is shaping up, patch 0.30 is totally awesome! Is it possible, to add the most basic combat sequence until you are rdy to implement the real thing? Its incredibly confusing to attack a ship, and have that screen come out "attack? done" or how was it. Just most basic pew-pew from ship to ship, on the map, will make it much less confusing, then we try to kill things.
Ya, give us patch! need now... so weak... must hold on... any moment now...
I really liked Gal Civ2, think its best 4x space game ever, since unlike many other games, its among a few i still play years later, like civ 4 and 5... its just very awesome games. Sins where not too bad ether, reminded me of homeworld2, a lot... Its a leap of faith, i don't normally ever participate in any alphas or betas, and generally frugal, but i enjoyed GCiv2 so much, and Stardock is not in my mind this huge EA ether, with infinite amount of wealth, that im somehow conf

^ Oh and, because each race has its own unique skill tree, or some part of it, there can be different kinds of industry in the game. Cheaper but more polluted, and more expansive but also more clean ([Relevant to last paragraph] Pairs example : Clean + Inefficient + Cheap. Dirty + Efficient + Expansive. Inefficient + Dirty + Cheap. Clean + Efficient + Expansive. Dirty + Inefficient + Expansive. Clean + Efficient + Cheap. Clean + Inefficient + Expansive). This will make differen
^ to add to the idea, it can even be a larger game mechanic. Say every planet by definition can have a maximum of 25 tiles. But all races at turn one, start with a maximum amount of tiles they can use at turn 1, around 5-8 (depending on race and bonuses) From here on, while skill tree can unlock maybe some tiles, its a buff-debuff game. Depending on how a player builds his/her civilization he/she will have the amount of available tiles appropriate. Say Terrans have 8 planets, and they be
(PS : this and 2 below posts, became threaded into one and reedited, for consistency, is one post basically). Sup folks! Something been always missing for me in Gal Civ 1,2 and now its starting to look it will be missing again in 3 as well. I'm not really sure how to put it, lol, but homeworld of any given side, left something to be desired. Its just me or would more people want for Homeworlds to be somehow unique from all other worlds u g
