I spend the first 50 turns attempting to increase my ship speed, range, commence, farm, xeno manufacturing , translator. I hold off until I encounter another race and simply trade for weapons adding 38 credits to sweeten the pot. I guess once Pirates are added I may need to change my priority. :
To clarify; I'm not looking for eye candy. Visual continuity with all the mechanics in this game should be expected. Why put screen cuts and still at all it if you don't care if they get it right? The sound seems clunky at best. Personally I find the ship construction sound painful and harsh. Planet construction is not as bad yet could use tweaking. I like the new cut scenes yet something is a missed. Scout/Survey/Colony ship pass by an Ascension or Precursor object and act as if it is no big deal. Not even a awe aspiring report back to Earth. Drop an engine on your ship design, it lets me know which way my ship is position. I tend to get confused when designing from the starting cube especially when I turn and twist during building from scratch.

I'm just going to throw this question out. Why aren't there any space mines in this game? Like my Grandpa always said. If you are going to screw around in space you will need protection. No epic space game should be without.

I understand why colony ships get gobbled up considering they are used to create headquarter shelter for new colonies. Yet I don't understood why constructors get gobbled up in construction. Instead of refitting modules on constructors each time as OP suggest. Galciv III can simple have (turn rounds) to complete different task. Constructing satellite can take 5 to 10 turns, upgrades 2 to 3 rounds and so on. Doubling up constructor can speed process. As far as the other two suggest
Short and simple: AI control Altarian and Drengin survey ship sitting on debris (space Junk) location. Multiple turns no action. Something notable yet it may not have been implemented yet. Can and will this game have some sort of space mines which can be deployed to impede invaders? Even if it is just a species specific ability. Every epic space conflict should have them. Just saying.
