Thank you for responding Frogboy. The purpose of my original post was not criticism. When I watched the development videos, I must have misunderstood. I thought you guys mentioned going back to the "beginnings" of space exploration. I was looking forward to the slow development of expansion. I guess I was surprised that the shipyard was removed from the initial inventory, but still an option to be rush purchased on turn 1. I guess I was hoping to develop my home world before a colonizing fren

I'm not sure. The point is, why rush build at all? How is that different from starting with a colony ship like in the basic GalCiv3? I have a simple solution. An option to reduce the credits we start with...like 0? Anyone?
Can someone clear something for me. As I watched the videos during the wait for Crusade, one of the features I was most eager for was the return to a slower experience. In short, no more starting with a shipyard, colony ship and all the tools necessary to colonize space. I loved the idea of having to go "back" to developing these things. More realistic, I imagined. Well, as I began moving my races from the core game into the Crusade files, I ran SOAK tests on each to be certain they had no fa
Thank you. I wasn't sure if the custom pics would transfer. They didn't...until I copied each one individually. Thanks again.
Hey folks. Is there an easy way to transfer my custom factions to Crusade? Or do I have to recreate them all? Thanks
I agree completely. Simply restore planetary projects please. All in all, this was an amazing "DLC."
I have long since given up on this one. It simply always reverts back to the previous planet class. Anyone?
I restarted the game. I had to click the map "off" in options. Then change pirates to "none." Then click the map back "on." Don't remember having to do that before, but at least it worked. Thanks all.
Update: I found the option in the game menu. However, it's locked to "Rare." Why can't I choose "None?"
I just finished a new map. I never add pirates. When I started the game, I found a pirate base. I saved, went back to the main menu, and cannot find the option for "No pirates." Has it been disabled?
I haven't noticed any changes.
Horemvore, I can find planet Diversity, and Planet Traits. Planet traits has different bonus tiles. Where can I find Enhanced Planet Diversity? Thanks
Off topic. What are those 2 bonus tiles at 8,4 and 10,3? I've never encountered them before. Are they from an update, or a mod?
I recently discovered the guides available on steam. I glanced at the Cheat guide. It claims you must add "cheat" to the start up the same way you did in GalCiv2? I have never done this, and the cheats usually work for me. I regularly use "FOW" on start one to determine if the map is to my liking. True, I have never had "ModStat" be successful. Any ideas? Am I hallucinating? Thanks.
The map window in the editor displays nothing. Its simply empty. No mini-map of the galaxy your working on.
Thank you both.
I opted-in this morning. I built a constructor but can't figure out how to make a star base to mine the asteroids? Do I need to research something? Can anyone explain? Thanks
Thank you. I ask because I'm in the middle of a great game, turn 500 approaching with 50 factions. I'm going to download the new DLC when the update hits. Don't want to start a new game, just to do so again.
Did I miss it? Has there been an announcement when 1.8 will be available?
Question: Does the new style set mean the DLC kit includes a completed set for a faction? That alone will make up my mind. Or does it only include the pieces to make one? Thanks
I agree completely gterhune. It really added to the immersion for me. I love anything that adds to my feeling of "ownership" in the game. I really miss the Arnorian ships that popped up from time to time. Bring back the killer porcupine ships!!!!!!!!!!!
When I attempted, the bar read: "None-Opt out of all betas." I was unable to change anything. Does that mean the beta is gone? When I start the game, it reads version 1.7.
Thank you Seilore, what is the procedure to do that?
If we 'Opted-In" for 1.7, do we need to do anything to ensure we update to the official release?
