I don't know if they ever fixed it, because the release version was so much worse than vanilla Endless Space that I never really went back.
Guess I never played it to extent it deserves anyway...
Star Citizen is the World of Warcraft equivalent on Kickstarter. It's highly unusual. The success rate for games on Kickstarter is something like 44%, and few of the ones that succeed are raising multi million dollar budgets. It's possible, but it's pretty unlikely.
Since Kickstarter is part of our society, I guess it falls under all statistical data for our society, including success/failure rate. Still,

Personally I find it ironic, when person who bought Cadillac SUV (sorry, don't know exact name), with most expensive options available, pirate videogames instead of buying them, because he doesn't see the reason pay for "zeroes and ones". Should I say he also try to use cheapest maintenance components for his car, paying more for breakage and repairs at the end. He enjoys the fact he "saved" 20 bucks on some detail, only to pay few grands to repair damages inflicted by unauthorized sp

And when I tried Disciples 3 upon release, I was disappointed. I mean I thought Gothic 3 was bugged... I've heard most of bugs and issues were solved, but so far I'd rather keep my distance.

"I would not have stolen the game if they had made a demo version"
You would be laughing, but I know few people who actually do that - they use pirated games as demos. If they like it, they buy legal copy, if they don't, well, no money lost. Because unlike demo, which could be simply vertical slice, having only good moments, full version of game allow you to see game in full. And no

Idea is interesting, but in reality you usually don't stop your factories and reassign all of the workers into "social" (we still talk using dual queue terms) projects' building, and research. Nor you assign "all hands" on a single task, because there is upper threshold or throughput, limiting their productivity. Delay in shifting focus indeed seems like nice idea (as long as it optional for those unwilling to use it), but I agree with DARCA, we already pay maintenance for str

I think we discussed that or similar thing when we were talking about lending/requesting usage of research/manufacturing cap. More content is interesting, but seeing many games ruined via addition of "expansions", I'm kinda reluctant toward changes as they may be the very thing that would break game's spine. If course, there are ways to improve it, but I hope those changes could be reverted, "just in case".

IMHO GC is not Tropico, so I barely see any room for El Presidente Soberano avatar flying around planets, improving their performance in GC environment. It could be interesting addition, to have "envoy" ship, probably not carrying supreme ruler, but rather just representing him.

Well, big ships could have a small lab, in addition to sick bay, so after certain hull has been researched, lab module should be built-in into all ships with hulls of that certain size and above. With possible exception of transports - they, like modern trucks, probably will be built around cargo. :)

It could be even more humorous should "evil" nations consider themselves good and their good opponents as evil. So each race would have their own perspective of good/evil bias. Just imagine - "evil "crusaders" from Altarian republic are trying to invade our recently occupied worlds". Or something like that - Stardock writers are far better suited for short funny stories than I am.

Quite relaxing (with disasters turned off), contemplating, precisely what I like. What really rubs me wrong way with Logitech is that they remove good products from their stock, replacing them with something... strange instead. And that they don't make fully assymetric mices for us lefties. Though I'm pretty fine with my G5.
