In 1.5 and prior this trait worked but the bonus was listed as "missing info". I noticed in the founder's beta 1.6 that it no longer said "missing info" it said nothing and you got NO bonus moral. Yes, I submitted a ticket back then. I sincerely hope that someone at Stardock will make fixing these several trait bugs next week a priority! thx .. neilkaz ..

I don't experience this at all. As always, I get PC events when I colonize a PC planet and normal event when I colonize a normal planet. However, from what I am reading this is happening with colonization that would be very late for the large galaxy I play in since all planets are gone rather early except for extreme ones.
I tried this in my ongoing game and like you, I got absolutely NO moral benefit. This TOTALLY doesn't work and hopefully will be fixed soon.
These bugs of things that don't work (there are several more) prevent this fine game from being all that it can be. I really hope these things can be fixed. You may want to send in a support ticket with a save attached. However, honestly I think a dev could just look at the code and fix this along with the two or more ideological traits that currently don't work.
Having to compete with AI's for defended graveyards and PC relics is far and the way it should be. However, the fact the the AI no longer needs to fight these guardians is most unfair, and IMO and big mistake by the developers! It will take some coding to fix it so that the AI needs to bring along enough firepower to kill these guardians, but should be so difficult. Note that depending on race, the initial survey ship can take on a defended graveyard or two, taking signifi
As a founder, I've had access to these Mercs for a while now and have started and played towards near the middle game (Large vs 7 AI, Incredible). This has given me a chance to use and develop an opinion of Mercs. In the right circumstances they can be helpful and useful especially early in the game. For example, one game I the early multi-sensor ship that I buy (hint..buy a cargo shell and upgrade next turn is way cheaper) noticed a nearby PC relic and also many anomalies above m
1) All the bazaars offer the same Mercs. The selection of Mercs available will vary from game to game somewhat. 2) I don't quite understand it either. Sometimes when I mouse over a hex near AI zones of control it tells me what % influence I have and what % they have, and other times I see nothing. Devs or those with more experience can hopefully explain. 1) You may need to play on a higher level. You sound experienced so give Genius a try. I play Incredible and the AI'
I don't understand why so many are referring to Mercs as Heroes. Some do boost capabilities of the fleet they in, but these aren't ship captains.
Hmm...I've been thinking. I need to launch a game and then use the fow cheat and see how many PC relics there are. Perhaps they are mostly getting scooped up by AI's now before I find them?
After submitting 3 tickets, I'll side with the OP here, as I had misread the captchas a couple times and had to resubmit. Please reduce the number of captchas and make them a bit easier to read. thx .. neilkaz ..
My comment will be more neutral towards mercs than some of the other comments. I like the idea but there's still a ways to go with it, but things don't seem as bad to me as some others indicate. However, I DON'T like the fact that costs for a merc ship increase over time. This is a very difficult game to balance since vastly different map sizes are played. Someone who plays in an enormous galaxy may have many more planets and income than someone like me who p
A turn after selecting Slave Masters, I am getting no benefit from it. It used to provide +5% per route to either production or manufacturing to the planet initiating the trade route (can't recall which) but here's this thread. http://steamcommunity.com/app/226860/discussions/1/618459297892830900/ Perhaps the steam thread is correct and this is only for routes created afterwards? But t
Thx, this is good news. Obviously, I didn't see the extra hundred when I took the PC relic. Perhaps bcuz I was too unhappy to only get +500 science which is quite weak by that time compared to other bonuses, IMO.
My concerns is that people buying the DLC, many of whom won't try to max out PC R's to abundant and many of whom play in smaller galaxies will see very very of them. I posted this to make Stardock aware that the number of these has declined with the beta update Feb 12 that properly reduced the number of PC planets. What they do with this is their decision, but my advice remains that there should be at least a few of them when set to abundant for a large galaxy.
I think it was the Feb 12 update patch to our beta that reduced the number of Precursor planets. I think the reduction was by 1/2 or even 1/3. This is OK as now while not impossible to find, they aren't everywhere. Note that I play large galaxies vs 7 random incredible AI's. I don't play the enormous galaxies that some of us here play. Anyhow, in 1.5 and with Precursor Relics frequency set to abundant, there'd be about 7 in a large galaxy. But since the b
Torians just hired a nice Merc with major offense in an attempt to stave off my attack. Level of AI's is Incredible.

I play in large galaxies, vs 7 random incredible AI and don't play nice with the AI. ie no Alliance Victories for me. I find an AI or two and attack and in general keep attacking. One game, I decided to guard 3 planets from Iconian colony ships and DOW'ed them and destroyed some ships. Soon they bought two Mercs and were chasing around and destroying (not enough movement to escape) my scouts and the rather weak ships one gets early from graveyards. Another game,
Interesting as I selected it early in my ongoing game and am rather sure that it always paid. I do recall that when I took the lone precursor relic that I found, it didn't pay the extra 100 but perhaps that wasn't intended.
I guess I need to figure out how to send a ticket myself as well, as all can trust me that #1 is correct as well and Eager no longer improves moral by 1 per planet conquered after you select the trait. I'll check and see if I have a save to prove it. Anyhow, in this ongoing game as Mal, my 2nd set of traits is Greedy instead since Eager doesn't work and since the ship that comes as the pre-req to eager isn't very good. Hopefully, the Devs can fix these two by relea
IMO, with many Mercs costing Elerium, there should be an acceptable amount in the galaxies.
I just colonized two new planets well after taking Abundant and neither planet started with +2 population. So now there are two traits for the devs to fix. 1) Malevolent Eager no longer works in 1.6 2) Benevolent Abundant doesn't work. Neither bugged trait does anything.
I am quite surprised to report that the Eager trait still doesn't work anymore, in spite of a couple of new releases of 1.6 Merc Beta. This trait worked fine in 1.5 and prior as you did receive the Moral bonus per planet conquered after choosing the Eager trait, but now in 1.6 it no longer works. C'mon devs, this can't be a difficult fix. This is a disappointing and unnecessary bug for those of us who play Malevolent and hopefully will be fixed prior
No No ...a thousand times Nooooooo !!
It sounds like I have to start a new game when I get home in a couple hours. This ongoing game is a great fight for my life vs Terrans so I will save it for later as it is important for us Founders to check out new features prior to release.
