OK I seems that I will want to send transports rather than freighters. Trade has really been nerfed now and doesn't bring in much cash and I don't see a diplo benefit when trading with major races.

Once again this is Crusade VIP beta so maybe it isn't tomorrow's release version, but how do I talk to minors now? Thx .. neilkaz ..
Same here. I have a typical stompfest happening on Genius playing with 10 players on the crowded map that says 10 players is optimal(Large?). 4 have been conquered by Turn 55 and I am fighting mostly with a Merc and tiny ships with a couple small. I can't imagine what I need to build to go after SB's. I just leave 'em and move on. This game will be over before I can think of destroying them.
Starbases have the same HP/Def/Attack as before but ships have been re-balanced to have considerably less HP/Def/Attack so the net result is that it is much harder to destroy starbases in the early/mid game. Is this intentional?
Please take a look at the Durantium cost of Mercs like The Raptor and The Wraith. It is VERY high IMO. Thx .. neilkaz ..
Yeah, I'd like to see things somewhat more spread out as well.
Apology accepted but I wish you'd have delegated the key giving to another Stardock team member!
When are more founders going to get a chance to try out Crusade? I understand unpolished, I played back at the start of founders play. I really want to try out the new version. Please Brad [e digicons]:([/e]
Same here, another Elite Founder trying to get a key unsuccessfully basically since day 1.
I must be misunderstanding something about this process! What do we need to do to get a beta key? And Yes, I messaged my profile on discord. Thx .. neilkaz ..
Wonderful, and I'll remind everyone that with it being under NDA we should only discuss things in this private founders forum.
Still waiting hopefully!
For sure this is from the Pragmatic Tree. That next and final pick that has EVERY civ DOW you needs to be changed to just having the other pragmatic civs DOW you.
Great to be a founder! TYVM. I offer a couple of cautious concerns. 1) Will the AI's have so much cash that it will be nearly impossible to deal with spying when playing Impossible or much worse Godlike? 2) I hope there's plenty of play testing for invasions. If it becomes too hard to take AI planets, the game will bog down and players will lose interest. Also a healthy back and forth exchange of planets with AI's conquering each others' planets.<
Fun stuff here! Thx Brad!
Things certainly seem to be on the right track!
Yes, it has been more than one turn since I discovered the Aquatic World Mastery tech.
Hmm...OK I seem to recall with the previous bug when I researched AWM after conquering Aqua planets, I got no benefit from the tech. But that was patched. Maybe this bug has crept back in and you need to have the Mastery tech prior to colonization or conquest. I'd recommend submitting a support ticket
Quoting neilkaz, reply 1 ...I conquered Torian worlds and took this tech... You "took" a tech via conquest? How? I've played several hundred hours across most versions of GC3, taken many, many worlds, and never got (notice of?) a tech
Did you wait a turn to make sure this kicked in? This was an old bug reported by me a few months back and it was fixed. I assure you than in a recent conquest victory game I conquered Torian worlds and took this tech and they indeed had no penalty, this being the recent 1.9.

I'd imagine there's lots of conquests and planets change hands. Take the Zealots trait and gain Ideology points the first time you conquer a planet. </div
I'm not sure if it's a 1.9 problem, but galaxy generation seems to be much worse. Loose clusters results in a galaxy with almost perfect spaced, ordered looking stars, and tight clusters results in literally just a few spots with stars and an almost entirely empty galaxy. ??
We've updated the game again to reverted the "Large" and bigger maps back to their 1.8 size.
Thank you very much for listening to the majority of your fan base!
Has anything been done to the other map sizes that were drastically reduced in 1.9?
I agree that having two humans in the game with identically named star and planets seems weird. I would suggest, that one of the humans have their system names changed...ie Sol can be The Sun, Moon can be Luna etc. .. neilkaz ..
