Go to where the game is installed, default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III, right-click on GalCiv3.exe and select Properties, then Compatibility tab, there turn on Disable fullscreen optimization.

Go to the folder \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade and delete the prefs.ini file and try to run the game again. Might also be best to disable Steam cloud before trying this. If that doesn't work, rename the entire GC3Crusade to something else, like GC3CrusadeOld.
That's normal, some files are modified based on a user's system and when Steam validates them they appear different. More importantly, after you did the above is the game working?
I tried to load the savegame and it crashed for me. I'd like you to go in the folder \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade and upload the file debug.err
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Have you tried any of the other recommendations in the Support FAQ? I recommend to whitelist Steam and GC3 with any anti-virus you may have installed, verify Page File Size, Run Steam as Administrator, Re-Installing Redistributables, Re-Install DirectX. https://forums.galciv3.com/486732/galactic-civilizations-iii-support-faq
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. If you have a savegame where this is reproducible it would help a lot if you uploaded it to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a look at it. Savegames are located in \Documents\My Games\GC3\Saves or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Saves Thank you for your patience and patronage.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Are you running the game from a shortcut on your desktop? If yes, delete it and recreate it from within Steam. Thank you for your patience and patronage.
I loaded the first file, invaded Altaria with Biological Warfare invasion, no crash. Reloaded and tried with Conventional invasion, still no crash. As for the second file, which is the planed you tried to invade? I can't find any invasion ships in position.
Weekly Income is the percentage of taxes collected from all sources of income, in this case GDP, Trade Routes, and Tourism, plus what Commonwealths provide. 0% of anything is still 0.
Increase your tax rate, use the slider at the bottom right.

The main screen changes for expansions, Worlds in Crisis is just a small DLC.
I'm glad that the issue was resolved.
Tried again, and it's not getting stuck. Here's a save from turn 272, if you try to continue it does it get stuck? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T0HmxsJ0uXlLW-MMb19iaTPMOmNJREN9/view?usp=sharing
Couldn't replicate the problem. I loaded your savegame and reached turn 301. Do you remember doing anything specific before it got stuck?
It's set to private.

Go to the folder Documents\My Games and rename the folder GC3Crusade to something else, like OldGC3Crusade.
Does your system also have an integrated graphics card? If so it may be using that one and not the dedicated GPU, I suggest forcing it to use the dedicated one. There are instructions here for AMD cards.
I have managed to reproduce the problem, and I have logged it in for someone to take a look at. I found that by taking out the transports from the fleet it no longer hangs.

I couldn't get that to replicate in the posted file. Do you have one just before they go on the planet's tile?
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I took a look at your savegame. What's happening is that there are some freighters belonging to the Iridium on the same tile as the Korath colony, not sure how that happened. They will move on the next turn and you can attack the planet.
The simplest method would be to copy them from the old folder to the new one. I suggest going about it one by one and opening the game to see which one is giving the error. In the old GC3Crusade folder Designs - contains ship designs ShipStyleSet - contains ship styles Factions - contains civilizations The other folders should be self-evident. If you do find want was causing the error messages would you kindly upload it to a file sharing si
