Frogboy, looks great, but how about the advanced governors, senators and the election stuff? That is gonna go through an expansion?
jirkaesch
Well, can you indicate, what the expansion is gonna be about? Just to not get with our ideas totally off the table [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Me the same. Won´t download no matter what the Betas settings are.
This is exactly what I am looking forward to. Internal politics of GCIII is very bland so far and this looks extremely promising. Just add more in terms of empires´ instability (i.e. low approval = riots, separatist movement etc.) and you move the game on the entirely new level. Even Napolen had to correct his military strategy because of "troubles" at home :) ETA?
Would be very interested to try this out, sadly Steam wont donwload the beta no matter what I do :-/
Very, very cool Stardock logo in the beginning :) Good job!
I wish to thank Stardock for another great experience and superb game! I wish Galciv III big success and I am looking forward to, eh, future cooperation ;)
I get black screen lock-up like every other time I launch battle or invasion viewer. Rather annoying :-/
What features remain to be implemented in the final days?
Derek, can you please make it so that if you conquer enemy system and its (original) shipyard has no other sponzors, it will either flip to you as well or become decommissioned? So that we won´t have space flooded with remnant shipyards, especially in the case of influence flip-overs. Thank you.
I would not really call the old political parties and government
Sure thing. I am hoping Stardock has something more sophisticated in their pockets, like "factions in your kingdom" from CK2 / EU4. I.e. different factions in your empire pursuing different goals and you have to take them into account. Remember, every great empire had to deal with internal dissent as much as with its external enemi
Will there be political parties and government or ANY sort of internal politics in the final game, Frogboy?
Show us invasions and political parties!
Haha, it's good enough. Was just slaughtered by Drengin :) Thumbs up!
Thanks Adam. Nevertheless, how about the ground combat and political parties?
Derek, how about planetary invasions and political partie s?
Hey folks! Whats in store for the political parties & government system? And for the politics/ideology in general? Will there be occupations, rebellions, uprisings etc.? Thx!
The whole politics/ideology/influence layer of the game is extremely over-streamlined and lightweight at the moment. It needs to be seriously beefed up to fit a grand strategy title, therefore I am curious what they have in sleeve for us!
Even Conan approves.
Frogboy, when shall we get our hands on the politics layer of the game? I.e. different governments, elections, parties, uprisings...?
Derek/Paul, when we´re going to get the political layer of the game (governments, elections)? Beta 4?
Diplomacy new features?
Also the whole unrest/taxes model is a bit oversimplified to my taste. It would be great when the rebelious cities did more than just have 0 production. E.g. spawning bandits in the city domain would be great (AoW3 model).
I do not like how the game is tiny in scale, it hurts the immersion. Its great to start building your empire from ashes with few people, but in the late game, it always looks bit funny to see "epic battles of empires" with 20 soldiers involved. I am not asking for total war style 10k battles, but having bigger units in our disposal would be great. Or at least make them LOOK more epic, like the 9 soldiers squad from the original EWOM. Aside from that, music could use a r
I haven't found a political party tab anywhere in the game so far
Yeah, political parties seem to be also missing so far. Hope the game was not "streamlined" here and they are not gone for good... :-/
Apart from the trees, will there be some global alingment indicator? Determined by your prevalence in any of the threes? I would love to see good civilizations ganging againts the evil again... I think this external effect of your ideology is much needed.
