Just an FYI The Large UI only triggers if you have a screen size larger than 1600x1200. You can check this in the UISizeDefs.xml If you try to use the Large UI thing on smaller resolutions, it looks really screwy though Also you can turn off 'borderless windowed' mode by enabling "Clip Cursor". Yes this is really counter intuitive...
God damn it, I just spent 30 minutes in the STeam Community Hub and I think my brain just melted. Jeezus the trolls are out in full force again. I also feel dirty. HOw do you get Troll Bile out of a tuxedo? On the plus side the trolls have the attention span of a gnat. They'll move on once some other game they despise comes out.
Emails went out but it may have gone into your spam folder like mine Go to www.stardock.com Log into your account Go to My Downloads Your key is there
GalCiv3 is now a 'rogue-like' :)
Try rebooting your comptuer
I know. I wish there was such a thing. The goal isn't to have zillions of early access users. Just hard core GalCiv users who understand that we're trying to appreciate their contributions by giving them everything we make for GalCiv III forever.
Frogboy I thought you were going to do what the Klei guys did with Invisible Inc!!! They have an Early Access going but you can only get it if you buy it from thei
@ windscion2 your drivers seem really out of date...
No font issues you should reboot your computer, as this was the same problem as in GalCiv2
Are you forcing the Nvidia card vai the Nvidia Control Panel?
Can you post your specs from Steam-Help-System Information
I'd say that once the game gets to beta, it would be ok to go for 'full blown Early Access'. But I do agree this 'hidden' Early Access is likely the best way to go, given that propensity for sheer idiocy on the Steam forums until that point. But so far in my toe dipping gameplay wise, the game is actually pretty playable.
Hmm does steam show that you're online?
A Nvidia GeForce 210 is out of the question? I was told it was the equivalent of my suddely-dead GeForce 8600 but I get totally lost with the naming conventions of the cards.
Thta card fully supports DX10.1
Also: Steam will collect any crash files, should they occur, correct?
Steam 'should' collect mini-dumps and send them to Stardock automagically.
A quick thing I noticed aslo was that 'auto turn' doesn't seem to have the 'auto' part working :P
Restart steam if you don't see the entry.
RESTART STEAM THE GAME IS LIVE
But I do agree, I have been taken aback by some of Valves actions recently regarding the steam platform. (I mean I try picturing using a controller for a game like GalCiv3/Civ5 to play it in the living room and I think it would be an undesirable experience.)
You can play Civ5 with a touchpad pretty nicely. It's really more about how the UI elements work.
According to the people on #Galciv it won't be available before 1900 UTC. Even then, I am hearing rumblings (rumors, really) that Steam typically has troubles with Alphas.
There's some kind of trouble on Steam right now with the publishing pipeline. :(
Not having it on Steam isn't the same as not having it on your computer. I have both, but not on Steam.
If I 'really' wanted to troll I could create a non-steam shortcut to Notepad.exe and name it GalCiv3 and post a screenshot :) And then much gnashing of teeth and mouth frothing would begin! Hell my Steam profile would say 'In-Game GalCiv3' too! I don't think there are enough pit
The depot for the game has not been made public. That's why it shows up as a SteamID sub because the official name on the Steam's public facing database hasn't been updated. Thta's also why you don't see any game entry, because the depot is not available to download for public consumption. That's something they set on the back end once they want to release the game into the wild. If you're super duper hard core you can monitor the sub on SteamDB <a
