Frogboy has posted a tentative schedule for the ALpha/Beta schedule for the game http://steamcommunity.com/app/226860/discussions/1/558751813022711037/ <br style="color: #dbdbdb; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 20px; orphans: 2; text-align: lef
screen scroolling doesnt seem to work at all right now
I got that one the first turn when colonizing Mars. Lol. good has alot of stuff, more than last time and it almost fits in with the others. I think there ideology works well with a "benevolent" strategy. I don't remember hearing this anywhere but... why can't I modd the game? the game does not run without steam. Even if you copy it over you still 1) have to run steam online so it can validate the game 2) run the Stardock activation routine online you still have to bootstrap the game by being online on the desired computer
Are you sure you're forcing the AMD card via the CCC? Have you rebooted your computer? Have you tried other drivers version? The last stable CCC is 13.14 I believe.
I would also be interested to hear about this.
Frogboy has posted a tentative schedule https://forums.galciv3.com/452913/page/1/ ============== Here's my take on it You have to be realistic as to the trade off between New features/tweaking/testing/time Functionally it's an alpha. But it's still available to a lot of people. So you can't just
You still need to be online to activate the product....
are you sure they formed a fleet automatically? On mine they never do that....
These two events are the only two I have seen in the game so far and I assume that is because it is designed to speed you through the game
I'm trying to figure out which XML file holds the parameters for these events. The one I 'think' it should be doesnt seem to have the parameters I think it should.
The system is working as designed. IF those users had gotten just the alpha at $40 I think the odds would be high that they'd be on various forums saying how bad the game was. It is better to see people complain about the price of the Founder Elite Edition than seeing people complain about the alpha being an alpha.
It's a bit of a shame its's on the steam store though (hear me out!). Mostly because
Oh THAT'S why The game is 64-bit ONLY Steam has a depot filtering mechanism. The depot for the game is 64-bit only. Because Steam detected your 32-bit OS, it only showed the 'redist' depot. Similar to how you can filter "Mac depots" or "Linux depots" as well depending on how the developer defines the depots. Moving the game back to your other computer will not do anything. The exe is 64-bit only and will fail spectacu
I sawa one event which was Good 25% increased research Neutral - Free Precursor Ship, -25% pop cap Bad - Free Precursor ship, much of planet is flooded So being 'good' isn't that bad
It does seem like a hardware issue. However, if it is related to the heavy load, (maybe because of the increased memory and 64-bit computing) I wonder if that is something to address given that this is alpha, and the game will only get more complicated (thus even heavier cpu use).
CPU usage is not likely to go down. Since the game needs all those threads to not only render the game, but also for the AI. You need to addres
1) Plase post your specs from Steam-Help-System Information 2) If you're running Intel GPUs, you should update your drivers. I have an ultrabook with an HD4400 with no problems. So it's likely a driver problem especially since most people never bother to update their Intel GPU drivers. Go to intel.com or to your laptop manufacturer for the latest Intel GPU drivers! 3) try rebooting your computer
That's because my card is oldish, and 12.4 is stable. Unlike more recent drivers. It was how I got something -- Civ5? Skyrim? FNV? -- to work properly. Forget which game I was having issue with.
I have to recommend you at least try to head to the latest CCC 13.12 which is the latest stable release. Many people have noted that the latest AMD drivers help.
73 seems kinda high.. the game is very very cpu intensive so that might be the issue
Try changing your download region in Steam to something in Europe/NorthAmerica? It could be the content server you're connecting to is screwy.
I'm playing on 1920 x 1024. Should be no problem there unless my screen height is the problem.
You'd have to check the xml file. On mine, the 2x doesn't even trigger until you hit 1600x1200. So maybe your height is the problem. You can manually edit the file I mentioned above to force the game to use the large UI at any aribtrary resolution or above. But again I warn you this can look REALLY weird :P. There&#
Are you sure you're trying to download GalCiv3 and not any of the previous games? :P Try restarting steam Try running Steam as an administrator Ensue you have enough disk space Ensure your anti-virus is not blocking the install somehow as this is a common problem.
Also those intel drivers look old too. Updating those may help
Well fortunately no one here is really crying about the price tag On Steam its a different story
What are your system specs from Steam-Help-SystemInformation.
It is supposed to run on Vista 64-bit - Frogboy himself said so in his reminder post.
Can you post your specs from Steam-Help-System Information
