I would prefer hot seat multiplayer implemented instead of playing over an internet connection, but oh well. Not a deal breaker for me either.
I like an alignment system. Good and evil are very real, but the problem is in defining which is which. I have my own definition, but it is at odds with other people's definition. For instance, in Gal Civ II, the Drath were aligned with "good." How can a people that manipulates others into fighting each other, and enjoys war profiteering possibly be good? Profiting by suborning the free wi
Next he'll be telling us the Alpha will be available on April 1st. :)
Tactical combat in MOO and MOO2 was the best part of the game. I really missed it in GalCiv 2 so I don't bought it because of tactical combat was missed. I really want to see tactical combat in GalCiv 3. It's a key element of game-play for me. I like to build unique ships build-plans and than use this ships to smash enemies by myself. In MOO2 it was really cool. And in GalCiv2 it wasn't. Hope it will in GalCiv 3.
</p
Mach, dude. What do you think the games are about? The space battles? They're a very small part of the game, sure they could take up a bit more of the stage and it sounds like they're going to, but The devs don't want them to detract from the empire management aspects. Personally I'm fine without any tactical battles at all. Keep it simple, Ship with strength, A and defence B battles another ship with strength C and defence D and let the dice roll. It works and it's still
How about using it to prevent people from being a problem in the first place? I called it rude because it was rude, or if not that then a false sense of entitlement, take your pick.
Asking for a Dev to reply only 1 day after you post the idea is a bit rude don't you think? Also In GalCiv II there was already a basic ground combat system. You could opt for orbital bombardment, but only as a part of your invasion strategy. And that did have the effect of destroying a lot of the structures on the planet. Information Warfare has always been my favourite choice.
I nearly always played Deirdre. University on higher difficulties though, simply because the tech victory was so easy to come to for them.
OP is referring to the Game made by TellTale Games. Hence why this is in the PC Gaming Section of the Forum. :P
Season 1 is Great. Season 2, not so much so far.

It is possible to get overhyped. I fell guilty to that when I was waiting for Starbound, I knew I was hyped, but I didn't think I was as hyped as others seemed to be, it was enough though to have my experience of the game lessened now that the early release is here. In it's current state I wouldn't really recommend it to anybody, but I am hoping it will get a lot better. Anyway the best thing all of us can do is just sit back and relax and not think about it too much.
Let's not. No countdown is going to be worth it even if we do get a estimate release date from frogboy or any other Dev. Even if they say the alpha will definately be released on such and such a day, it's best to expect it to be delayed. That's just how these things work. It's still on target for Winter release for Alpha they said last, so let's expect it in the spring. Also: I didn't purchase Founder Elite for Alpha Access. <
Sorry, but as an option this would not matter. I guess as a tutorial method this wouldn't be so bad to learn the game. But basically I want to be able to pick my techs. I also like the idea that I can plan my techs by seeing the tree. I don't think it would be to hard to make this an option. I also thought of another option. This would let you pick the techs it wouldn't let you see the rest of the tree this would have
Ah Right, well you wouldn't be stuck with the same path all through the game. you can change it at any point or can choose to focus in more than one area, or every area(essentially no focus), you just wouldn't be able to see what you are researching. Sorry I forgot to mention that. Also Tech Trading will still be an option. Updated OP
I have one problem and that's the fact that you'll need to research different techs at different time.
Can you be more specific of how this is a problem? My suggestion does not let the Computer pick a Tech to Research that you wouldn't be able to select manually.
I can see how attractive it is to some people to want a game to do all of the work for them, but I, like many, am a control freak, so I would find a game that did all of this for me without my being able to tell it I didn't want it to do this would not be fun for me. I enjoy trying to outwit a game.
This is why I said optional, highlighted in OP now to be more clear.
I Loved This system in SMAC and think it would be very cool if it was included as an optional way to play for GCIII Basically you don't choose which Specific Technology to research yourself, you instead choose a general path to follow. So we would Choose from: Military: Guns and Shields Diplomacy: Learn to get along with your neighbours and manipulate t

Looks Mildly interesting, but this sentance is a huge turn-off for me: Huge Game With More Than 30 Hours of Gameplay If they have to advertise the amount of gameplay hours and saying it is more than 30 is not appealing. I don't want a game which looks like it should have replay value only have about 30hours of gameplay to it.
She appears intimidating. It's a very good look, and not at all like what we're used to for Altarians. This change could make them move up and become my favourite race instead of the Yor. Also, I think she's attractive.
