Planets would, in this case be able to build constructors and shipyards coudl also build constructors. The main debate is whether the planet shoudl be limited to a ship that can ONLY build shipyards so that we don't end up with constructor spam.
Personally I would vote for 1 type of constructor. I do not think it is that big of a deal if planets can build regular constructors. This would mostly be a matter of gam

A good point, but in small map/short games I guess it is also less critical as your infrastructure is not very developped. So you could ( in theory ) flip a type of world around pretty quickly. I.E My mainworld had 1 starport and 4 factories. I could have turned it into a research world by switching it to 70/30% research/production and started building labs on all the free spots.
I am a little confused as to what the "dual planetary queue" is. Could someone clarify what this is?
Did you play GalCiv II ? This is a reference to the fact that each planet had two build Queues, one for buildings, one for ships.
Better name for "mining base" ---> sub-space resource extractor. Given that the resources are transported to their destina

I would like to start a discussion about this. Back in GalCiv II I used to make plenty of multi purpose planets. More or less depending on several factors such as what race I played. I.E the Iconians were good at making general purpose planets. Now, thanks in part to the new population based economy and the per colony Production wheel, I seem to be doing ONLY ultra specialized planets. It simply seems more cost effective. It is hard to tel

I have played with 2 different people in Multiplayer so far in version 0.0.2.0 . Have not been able to finish a game yet. I have encountered this issue in both games. Somehow the game gets stuck in between the players turns. You can move around and check stuff but the next turn wont start. Both players have the grayed out WAIT prompt on the End turn button. The game needs to be reloaded at this point, attempts at using console command "
Quoting EvilMaxWar, reply 21 So, was your hate for the production wheel strong enough to commit into voting in the dreadful poll? The devil doesn't have access to Archie Comics, so he reads polls. I don't participate in polls because I won't contribute to Satan's amusement. It's that simple. I would rather indulge in sweaty bone-jarring

Well, I am not sure about Full TALL, I would expect you would need to mod the game a bit. But personally I like to limit the number of habitable worlds to reduce the tedium. So instead of having 200 planets in a immense galaxy in endgame, I would have a few dozen. That worked well for me in making the game faster, and incidentally more fun to play. I think You will be able to set your galaxy parameters to make your game play more on the Tal

Idea #1 has also been discussed in this thread I think it is an idea with potential. I would not expect it to be in the base game but could be expansion material. As for idea #2 i think its a bit silly. No opinion on idea #3

I think what you propose is a bit over the top, maybe make it into a mod as previous poster said. I like micromanagement and in depth features but I have been turned off before by excessive details in a game. You do no want to scare players aways. There is a way to make a good balance between ease of use, good strategy gameplay and feature depth. GalCiv II was already pretty damn good in that regard. They did not go over the top in any aspect. GalCiv III
You could do that if you make it a tetrahedron, but that's going to be completely unintuitive for most people.
lol, indeed, I think that would be much more annoying to use than the wheel + 1 slider.
My main point is, while the wheel is a pretty neat solution if theres 3 variables, it's rather useless when a 4th variable is added when the double production queues come back. I think the current plan is to keep the

I had trust issues with Stardock too after the release of Elemental WoM. I was so sure it was going to be awesome I bought it blindly right on release day. Sadness ensued. But fast forward a couple years later and they gave me FA and LH for "free" to repay my initial "wasted" investment on WoM. Very few companies have that kind of integrity. I played a good hundred hours of FA: LH, this makes it a good game in my book. I wont play most games that mu

I had no CTD here, so I am not sure if I can send anything as a debug file. Also, Darca is on a Wireless Connection, just saying. As it might be related.
