Agree with Auramagma - I'd rather a game have three feature done well that you take time to master over a seven feature game where all the features are simple ie too much "If I do A then B, take option 7 then result 13 happens every time no matter my Food Production/Diplomatic status with whoever", not "I could pick choice A but because I picked 7 earlier which resulted in the Drengin did that then if I pick A and...War leads to Death leads to the Losing Screen! No

AU, if this is how you talk about something you like.... I'd hate to see a post about a game you hated. Trading - do you think there should be more like a market value for (whatever) resource that your AI race tells you before you click how many you're prepared to sell? (ie on the Trade Screen, beside each resource you have is something that says "Antimatter 10-12bc", so you know you'll get a minimum 10bc per antimatter but could get 12bc with a bit of, uh, "convincin
frogboy and co, have you noticed any thing with the AI like if it plays as a certain race, it does it particularly well or badly? If so, why? Since it's their game and all (and if they're great at Drengin empire building, I can remove the Drengin from my game so it doesn't beat me so bad!)
KunoNoOni, from my own experience as a Founder I can't see my name in the credits, there's so many other Founders that the hundreds and hundreds of names scroll by so fast and there's no Pause button that I'm aware of... I wouldn't sweat it.

There'd have to be a major rethink about how resources are used in buildings, ships and so on, though. IE having a resource requirement for something needed early game, obviously it's a bit unfair if it doesn't pop up for 50-75 turns. I do think that resources that are used for Galactic Wonders could maybe take a long time to be "discovered" ie they might be on your home planet, but you have to go a certain way along the tech tree to be able to mine it. <p
Decommissioned ships refund their administration points and legions. But not in the case if Survey (for example) ship destroyed in battle. Is it OK?
To be fair, DreadDendy, you can't say a ship has been decommissioned if it's been destroyed. If it's been decommissioned, that's your decision, if it's been destroyed, that's because your opponent killed it.

delwyn1 raises a fair point: How much control will you have to make Galactic Civilizations III run the way you want it to? For me, at this point, mercaneries are pretty irrelevant so I'd like to be able to, at the Game Setup screen (or whatever it's called), set Merceneries to None or at least Rare. It doesn't really bother me that one of my ships finds a Bazaar by Round 25-or-so but going through the obligitary "what would you like to buy"/"i'm not interested yet" (n
Don't know how new this bug is as I've never encountered it before, but I got not one but two Epimetheus Pollens. Which I thought was great, because it helps build the Galactic Intelligence Agency. Then, as it's a One Per Colony resource, I couldn't mine the second one. I'm pleased to get two resources on my home planet, but they shouldn't be the same....
Simple solution: make the points allocation of the Colonizing Event less - ie if you choose to let the population work in the mines and get radiation sickness and die because, "How many times do I have to tell you? People are a renewable resource.", you still get points in the Malevolent tree, but not so many as you would in a later decision where you know all you need to make that decision? To be fair, it's never really bothered me either way.
Communication hasn't been as "on to it" as I'd like from frogboy and co but from reading the Discord chat, there's been lots of doing/undoing/redoing going on so obviously that takes priority: I'd rather they spent time putting out the fire rather than sending us all a five paragraph release that says "CRUSADE IS ON FIRE!" in great detail and all nice articulate-like. Looking forward to May 4! Which will be May 5 for us Kiwi folks, I presume....
Be prepared for all the Star Wars nerds raging on Stardock for ruining their one day of the year.... Poor Star Wars nerds, still upset about finding out Mr Blonde is Keyser Soze's father....
I joined discord and asked once or twice for a key but when I started reading about the numbers of/severity of bugs and the number of builds that were being done I mentally applauded all the Founders who were doing the testing and said "there but for the grace of God go I.." I decided I'd rather forgo the early possession of Crusade and not have the gamebreaking bugs etc etc...
This explains what the long hours and hard work have been for. Fantastic work, folks. Looking forward to Beta Release Day, whenever that may be.
jirkaesch, I still think we're the first people who'd be told. I'm starting to wonder if maybe Stardock are realising their fancy new Citizen system causes more issues than it solves - or some other major issue has arisen. Surely, if it was just a minor bug/balance/stability fixing issue, we'd have heard from the inner sanctum by now? I hope - and largely expect - I'm wrong about any major issues but this quietness is quiet. Too quiet.
banned for not giving any news about Crusade but only banned after you give any news about Crusade.
Should we take the lack of Stardock talkiness as a good sign or bad sign? I didn't watch the Streams so have no idea about what was said other than a comment I read on here about several CTDs in the first few minutes...
I'm with jirkaesch - totally understand Stardock don't want to put out a Beta with major issues and am happy to wait until the bigger bugs are deaded. I'd just like some official word from someone at Stardock to explain the situation today.
NEWSFLASH: This is a Stardock announcement that there is an imminent release of an upcoming update to an expected decision to set a date sometime within the next wee while to make a decision about when our wildly anticipated impending new release will be released and whether that release is upcoming, imminent, expected, unexpected, ahead of schedule, behind schedule or any combination of the aforementioned terms. Or, to paraphrase "Asterix": Crusade Beta may be released tomorr
The idea of Privateer is just the kind of thing I'd like: The ability to attack the Drengin on behalf of, say, the Alterians without the Drengin declaring war on me and making mess of my puny military because they don't know just who it was who killed Fleet Bravado... I really love the whole idea of resources and limitations: That if you go down Path A there comes a point where Path B is gone and no, you can't rethink your strategy and restart the whole thing. Those footst
Can we pretty please have a moritorium on the use of the word "option"? I refer everyone to a post in April 2015 from androshalforc: "man if they granted options for everything that was asked for an option they would need to change the name of the game to OPTION SIMULATOR 2000 make it an option to have the economy slider make it an option to have multiple starbases make it an option to have hot seat make it an option to have shipyards on/off p
Or maybe he's running an alpha of the Beta Trial release. And us waiting one week is the alpha. Having to wait a second week will be the beta. And following feedback from the Founders and bugfixing and balancing of the Beta Trial release, he will actually release the Beta Trial of Crusade. Just hope the process doesn't have a gamma, eh?
I, uh, see in your enthusiasm to create this new mechanic, frogboy and co, there's a few more typos that'll need squishing. Looking very impressive indeedy, nevertheless.
