I don't think we'll be able to fix this before release but we'll make sure it get fixed soon after. Any other problems in MP?
That was the only thing we've noticed besides the text color bleeding which is minor...

Not able to initiate diplomacy with other players (in multiplayer, 20 turns in) is that as intended? We are able to by clicking on another player and navigating over to us in the trade screen, however, not by clicking on that player and trying to "speak to" it's grayed out.
The game flakes out currently with 3 or 4 players it would be horrible with 6.
Tested, however now we, I, have a whole new issue, it appears my install is corrupt. I've tried completely uninstalling the game both in the Steam/Common folder and My Documents folder deleting both and reinstalling but, now we can't get the lobby to acknowledge me clicking ready in either version 1.7 or 1.71. Finally in 1.7 we were able to start a game :) 1.71 is a mess with us though at this point. See new ticket RJM-589-85783
1) Exploration treaty: I like being able to have it with multiple factions. Its a key mechanic of my game style for certain factions
So did I, however this causes huge issues in larger maps having 80 exploration treaties. Turn times jump to 5 minutes or greater. So even though I like having that ability I understand why they limited this, hopefully in the future they can figure out how to make this ha
I am unable to see any MP game with the 1.71 update, I can join friends lobby but, we can't start once I'm there. I believe it's an issue with my installation, I completely removed the game/deleted the My documents folder and the Galactic Civlizations III folder in Steam and re-install with same issue. I will be creating ticket later if I can't figure it out.
"Expiration Treaty" now requires the later Alliance Tech. Also increased the relations level required to get it.
Is this a new treaty that expires.
The "Exploration Treaty" is now limited to one per faction
Wish this wasn't case but, I understand as having many of these slows down the game, performance wise.
We were able to reproduce the crash internally today on a different machine. It appears that if one of the PCs has a ship design copied into the core game folder, the game will crash in multiplayer on the other machine in the same spot as you were experiencing. The files could have been manually copied or added incorrectly by a mod. Validation the steam files would not fix the problem as steam doesn't check for files
There's an update coming soon. Should have the changelog about that soon.
Awesome
They've been unusually quiet over the last two weeks :S
Any updates on this I replied to the ticket asking for an update no response as of yet, however, I know you guys are busy :) .
The ticket was closed by mistake. I've asked that it remain open until it gets addressed.
Thank you.
This ticket was closed with no additional responses. We attempted additional options last night including renaming our My Documents/GalCivIII folder so it creates new on game launch, we attempted multiplayer game between just the two of us using core factions, I Thalan, him Terran. Game still crashed as soon as it loaded.
I'm looking for the list that includes the opt-in updates. Version 1.7 has had several opt-in updates-- there must be 5 or 6 by now. I know I saw that list once upon a time but, for the life of me, I can't find it now. I've searched Stardock, Steam and the GalCiv3 forums to no avail. TIA, Richard
This is the complete list of 1.7. There were 3 opt-in's in total prior
This is the link for the 1.7 change log https://forums.galciv3.com/476400/page/3/#3632522 Everything that was highlighted for the various opt-in's for 1.7 (total of 3) has been un-highlighted being that 1.7 has been released now and is no longer an opt-in. As long as you have the game auto-updating when a new update is available you will have 1.7. There is no available opt-in's at the moment
Still crashing even with him removing ship designs. Updated information to the ticket including both of our debug.err files and the crash tool that Sean suggested was running and appears it submitted information for you.
Interesting being it's just the trailer (preview) for the episode. An advertisement to hopefully entice viewers to want to watch and purchase the episode. I'm surprised they have any restrictions on this video.

The game as it's natural state without modding doesn't have it in, The game signed a treaty 60 years ago with the Romulan's preventing it from researching or developing this technology. Unfortunately about 30 years ago they did experiment with it which unfortunately caused many deaths as the ship phased into solid rock in an asteroid. This was largely kept secret until about 20 years ago when everyone was made aware including the Romulan's.
Galactic Civilizations II did a very good job at this, however, at this time the only way I know of getting around that is do what Larsenex suggested and enter into manual survey mode, which is a pain in the extreme map settings or accept that they will go to waste.
I responded to your ticket. We'll try to get this sorted out.
Thank you, I will get with the other player and see if we can't get that information for you, may not be until Sunday evening though :(
You are making a mountain out of a molehill. There already is a thread on 1.7 Hotpatch #1. It was posted about 3 hours ago here. They(Stardock) post more on the Steam forums because here(on the official ones) there are a lot of fans that answer questions for them
Hmmm... It's not pulling in the general list of topics must have missed it. So I apologize for not seeing it
I hadn't noticed this until today as I rarely check the Steam forums as many of those forum posts aren't as dedicated to the game as forum readers here on the official website. However, after checking this I see there is this post... 1.7 Hotpatch #1 http://steamcommunity.com/app/226860/discussions/1/364040166668647549/ Which has no mention here in the official forums?<
Quoting Steam Forum Post http://steamcommunity.com/app/226860/discussions/1/496879865902831770/#p5 Greetings! This list just covers the the release and the first year from release. Our GalCiv III timeline goes out to 2019 in terms of the "broad" features we want to do. The details (including DLC) will be heavily determined by you guys.<
