Like I said, I haven't been here in a while so I wasn't aware that there had been a server crash.
Rather than complaining about missing comments perhaps you need to appreciate the skins are still there so you can see the comments aren't.
Creating a post asking about a site issue doesn't seem unreasonable to me and is hardly "complaining". I did complain that it took 5 whole days befo

Hi folks! Yes, I'm still alive. Haven't been on the site in ages. Logged on the other day to reminisce and see if I had some skin comments that I hadn't seen. Low and behold, The skins are listed with comments, But when I click on the skin, they don't show up. Is it because I'm listed as a "past customer"? I can read the comments on everyone else's skins....just not mine Weird. Edited after they locked the comment section: I was unaware

Just popping in to say hi. Myself, I'm ATM without any SD products on my Windows 11 system. If I ever do get inspired to create new WBs, I'll probably shell out the dough for WB and Start 11. For now I'm running nekked win 11 with my Skandia wall and a quickie homemade skin for rocket dock. By the way, I was pleased to see some of my work here o

I have asked for a better "starter skin" for years. Diamond is fine I guess but it does have some issues. It comes with 2 extra substyles which you have to delete before starting and many other "left over" graphics from legacy OS's. Basically it's not very basic. I have created a skin which is pretty bare bones which I use when starting a new skin and I actually uploaded it to the WC gallery: WindowBlinds - Luna 20
What program(s) do you use to edit tga files, Chasbo? To edit the tga-files, I still use the old Alpha Converter (made by Adam Najmanowicz) to make Adobe Photoshop compatible png-files and the same converter back to tga after editing. The AlphaConv.exe, I think came with a very old version of SkinStudio, but I'm not sure. I generally draw my SP at true size just for the sake of simplicity. The margins won't effect how wide or tall each image is. They only effect how the images stretch/tile. The sizing is in the extra settings tab for each part. Top part width will determine how wide the entire panel will be. The top part height determines how high the top part only will be. The next important setting is the left hand sid

To make the taskbar taller if you decide in another skin, you need to adjust the text margins of the taskbar buttons. The more you add to the top and bottom, the greater the height in the taskbar.

In my experience, Photoshop on occasion doesn't handle "magic pink" (255, 0, 255/ff00ff) correctly. In order for it to work properly it has to be pure magic pink (no half pixels). If you use the Bucket tool, it might cause bleed over. Otherwise, magic pink has to be saved as a .bmp not .tga or .png, which I suspect is your issue.
