I won't even have the internet when the alpha drops, so my point is moot :( Fate,

To me that makes no sense. Not even the huge "AAA" studios do that. GalCiv has got to be one of your biggest sellers, so it seems like you'd want to throw all your guys at it, knock it out of the park, then use those proceeds to fund your other games. Slow-and-steady does NOT always wi

I'm in! My steam display name is Brentoski, I like to keep it simple so that it's not complicated to figure out who's on my steam list, although in this case that works against me because you all know me as Fate, ironically my old steam handle! I'll probably just change it to Fate if we're playing alpha games [e digicons]B)[/e] Fate,

D'OH!
GNN Weekly News: "Today Stardock announced the first DLC for it's critically acclaimed success GC3. Entitled 'The Cringe Pack' the DLC contains a host of new minor races to populate the galaxy and stems from a surge of support for GC3 to have more of its trademark cheesy humour and fun. If you look at Stardock's publishing record also you'll see that they have a habit of putting out several expansions per major release, even the original Galactic Civilisations had an expansion, the second had two, and Sins of a Solar Empire had three large expansions and several DLC packs. Looking at that trend I can only assume that GC3 will have at least two full blown expansions, plus a lot of DLC. And most importantly, with the Founders Elite you never have
The music in this thread is sufficiently epic to have made me suddenly overwhelmed with excitement for the alpha! Two weeks is too long to wait now!! But really, how does one imbed a link like that Gaunathor? Fate,
So yeah, I'd rather not see "bigger is better". Bigger should give more tactical options, but combined arms, consistency of strategy, and adaptation to the situation should be the key elements. That's a really cool idea mate, I can tell you've put a lot of thought into it! Personally though I wouldn't want to see it implemented, as it takes the game too far into the deep ends of realism for me and I don't think that I would find it fun, more annoyingly real worldly. Thanks for putting your idea out there though, that takes gut's and it's great that we have such a supportive community that comes up with, and welcomes, new ideas from play
Cheers!
