I have GalCiv3 installed on two computers, but their configurations are in different OneDrive installations (C:\Users\%current_user%\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade and C:\Users\%current_user%\OneDrive - Contoso\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade). I'd like to have them both point to the personal OneDrive rather than OneDrive for Business. Is there a configuration file or registry entry or something that controls this? I'm trying to avoid symlinks if possible.

Well that sucks. If I disable surrendering will they fight to the bitter end? I hope this doesn't change behavior in my current saved game :(. @Stardock - Please make surrender behavior a toggle in game settings.
When surrendering, the AI destroys worlds now? Does that mean "abandon" or does it mean "the planets are gone and it's a wasteland?"? If the latter, it makes things a lot more boring. I don't want to destroy other empires, I want to conquer them.
I made some poor choices, but I like my game start. I don't mind mucking around in the XML files if that's what it takes.
The alien starship event's Malevolent option is supposed to grant a starship, but reduce the maximum population by 10%. For synthetic races, it should set the maximum population to 90, but instead the value 100 remains.
If you select a destination on a black hole hex, the game freezes for 20-30 seconds.
I'm a founder. Is there any way for me to boost the review score?
How can you tell what provides and adjacency bonus, and what can receive an adjacency bonus?
An opt-in data sharing would be something I would sign into in a heartbeat. It was always my expectation that GalCiv would be using our own cleverness against us. Or should I say everybody else's cleverness against me? Yeah, that sounds right. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Seconding this. Opt-in telemetry is fine, especially if there's a way to verify what data is being sent.
Thanks. That makes me happy: they don't serve as a cap on size, then, but a cap on expansion (albeit 1 colony every 2 turns is pretty fast).
If citizens are consumable, is there an unlimited number of them? I.e. Do you gain one every 10 turns forever?
I think varying cooldowns based on what they are used for would work and could be balanced. Administrators assigned to decommissioned survey ships you might get back in a couple of turns. Those assigned to starbases take a few turns longer. Those assigned to colonies might take longer still. Alternately, if the ship/starbase/colony was destroyed, there's a good chance the administrator died too (though the game should indicate this.)
Thanks for the explanation Frogboy. Looking forward to Thursday.
I know it's out in less than a week, but any chance any more Founders will get early access to Crusade? Not complaining, mind.
Does anyone know the AI bonuses at the various levels with the 1.9 patch?
Thanks everyone.
I didn't see this mentioned in the 1.7 opt-in patch notes. Any chance it snuck in and just wasn't noted?
I noticed this issue is still present in Mercenaries. Any chance it will be fixed? On the other hand, part of me thinks that synthetics should be able to be go past population caps: late-game Approval tends to be 100% across the board with few if any approval structures, at least on large map sizes.
Any ETA for this patch? It makes starting as Yor very, very challenging.
If the current population is >= the population cap, then the various Assembly jobs (which create population) are grayed out. This is good. If the current population is < the population cap, then the various Assembly jobs can be queued up. This allows races using the Yor tech tree to create massive amounts of overpopulation. The disadvantage, of course, is that it hurts morale on that planet, but bad morale in exchange for an infinite source of populati
The icon for terran model 57 looks like a mirrored version of the terran model 90 icon. The 3d part looks nothing like it. The icons are the terran triple-engine icon; the 3dmodel for 57 looks similar to a cargo block; the 3d model for 90 is the tri-engine part.
Is it possible to just launch Ship Designer, similar to how Fallen Enchantress lets you access the Workshop independent of starting a game?
The screen, yes. The sub-panel that shows individual ships in a fleet, no.
Thank you! My ship icons were too small for me to see, so I didn't notice them in the right-hand panel at the bottom left.
I don't see an eject button anywhere. Can someone please post a screenshot?
