I was trying to get some of my neighbors to fight each other, and one of the races listed was curious. "Fundamentalists". I did not remember seeing any such race mentioned before in the game. They're not a major or minor race. I can't find them on a medium sized map. And then a few turns later (after a very strong race sent NO ships out), they declared peace with them... ...I'm going to call this a bug because I was ne

BTW... I still get random events quite often in v1.1... could it be because I'm playing with races with a luck modifier? Some of these random events I'm hearing about are quite evil... sounds awesome. (And I thought I already cycled through all of them. Nice to know the game is holding a few back.)
I welcome the possibility of increasing their frequences.
I have to say, I'm really enjoying the random events inside of a game. 1. Random ethical challenges when colonizing a new planet. 2. Ongoing ethical choices for already colonized planets (although a little weak) 3. Random benefits of anomalies (above and beyond +1 to +5 to a racial attribute) 4. Random political vote events (such as forcing all races to trade a number of unique techs) 5. Most of all, the pure random events that go on during the game. <b
A village.... found inside of space debris... abandoned in a hurry... worth 1000BC. LOL.
I like cool ideas and stuff. But darn... kind of adds complexity to the game where I don't want it.
That would be an even worse screenshot from hell if you were in a game with high logistics points.
More info on the issue.... I just completed a diplomatic victory. Got the ending video. Is it just there is no ending video for a conquest victory, or is it just me? Yeah, Starforce is the one who turned me onto the game. I never liked Galactic Civilizations I, so I thought this was going to to more of the same and didn't even think about playing it. Glad Starfoce got me on board, I love this game... it is just like playing a modern Master of Orion. But back to my problem..
So based on Starforce's recommendation, I downloaded Galactic Civilizations II. Wow. Absolutely mind blowing. This is what Master of Orion III should have been, no questions, hands down. So then I quickly discover this is a commercial product. So I go out and buy a copy. Great to be supporting such an excellent game like this. I like what I've seen so far, and I'm really impressed with the patches and improvements over the initial release. Very much so, in fact. Only one th
