Didn't GC2 have this? Maybe it was one of the DLC packages that added it. It did most of what you suggested so maybe it will be added later.
I was pretty disappointed when I spent a very long time picking a great greek star name only to find some of the ridiculousness that got approved.
So was I. Now it seems that because of them all of our names may be made optional to the player.
I have the same problem ... The arrows are directly over Earth there is no waypoint
The arrows are over a planet call Sol VI, which makes me think it is a bug as all the others in the Sol system have the actual planet names. But as it is the campaign is not finish-able.
" id want an option to turn options off" KA-BOOM: What you just did to my mind.
Thanks, will do. Btw i did have the same resultz with the autosave file
An hour ago I tried running GC3 and was delayed by Steam's insistence that I update the client. Fool that I am, I acquiesced. So now, no matter what saved game I load, I get one turn then when the game tells me to wait. So I do. Hey, I got nuttin' else better to do so I wait. And wait. Wait some more while I grab a cookie, take a whiz, shoot some pool... all of the above. But no matter how long I wait I get to go no further in the game.
Are the personally named stars in the current version? If not when will they be showing up? If so has anyone come across their own named star?
Re: When influence convinces a planet's population to revolt and go with my race. Star-bases aren't so bad as I just buy them from the original race, unless the race has been defeated then I have to destroy them so I can put my own star-bases in their sphere of influence. The one time I did that and there where ships defending they turned pirate and were a thorn in my side for quite a few turns. Kinda neat actually, but there should be an alternati
"When Beta is over and the game is declared pretty much ready, I will complain if the sb aren't beefed up a little bit." I don't think of it as complaining about balance, so much as pointing out places where balance can be improved. Isn't that the point of beta testing? Pointing out inconsistencies before going to production?
What is the current version number? I see no reference anywhere and I would like to check to see if my version got updated. Steam seems to be very quirky in this regards lately. My main menu screen says Ver. 0.61
[NOTHING]
Beautiful sentiment. I will be looking for her star. My sincere condolences, -Don
I named mine Clan McLean to honor my Grandfather who was more like a father to me in my teen years when I really needed one. Eugene McLean, RIP.
Still would like to know if we will be able to assign Star systems to our custom race. Thanks. I have the same problem as well. I am using a Logitech Trackball.
What file format is your image file? It wasn't saved with an extension. UPDATE: My bad. For some reason I thought you were uploading a screen image of the duplicate names.
Regarding Custom Races: When creating a custom race will we be able to assign its home planet? This would be especially useful for those of us who have been fortunate enough (as well as being willing to shell out 99 bucks) to have been able to name a sun. I would love to be able to have one of the planets of my sun be my custom race's home planet. Thanks, Don "Raelalt" Freeman
I enjoyed GC1 immensely, I first got Master of Orion 3 as my first experience with this type of game, but soon after that GC1 came out and I never looked back. That being said,. GC2 was such a huge upgrade over GC1 that I couldn't think of going back and playing the first iteration. Now I never had the inclination to play the campaign, maybe that could be enough to try it but other then that why go back? The visuals and the game play are such improvements over the origin
Done and done. Thank you.
It looks like the next beta patch address some crash to desktop. Have you opted in the newest patch?
I have to admit that I am somewhat Steam-Illiterate. The instructions say: <span style="color: #000000; font-family
First of, since I believe it is unfair to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person I will not respond in the same manner as you did to me. Second, as you stated, beta means that bugs are to be expected and to be reported. I politely informed you that most of what you reported were not bugs but future features that haven't been implemented yet (you do see the difference do you not?) Where the vitriol in your response came from I can only guess but leave it at h
Which .xml file? UPDATE: I found it in ImprovementDefs.xml (C:\Programfiles (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\data\game\ImprovementDefs.xml) in the stanza. I removed all blanks after XenoIrrigation (I believe about seven instances). But when I ran the game the zeno irragation tiles were still invisible. Is there another file that also needs to be corrected or doe
Some complaints:
I believe that all of your observations can be attributed to the beta status of the game. If something is listed but not available is because it is not at a state stable enough to include them. As the beta goes forward so will the availability of promised options increase.
Was wondering how we can delete a shipyard if we didnt want it, the selecting and hitting of the delete key doesn't seem to work?
As of now starports can neither be deleted nor left unassigned to a planet. My workaround for this is to assign the starport to a planet and then dial down to 0 the amount of resources that planet spends on the startport.
