If you mouse over the tech you're researching in the top right corner of the main screen, a tooltip will appear, showing you how many turns are left until the research is done.

I've only played about five hours by now and, so far, I'm pretty impressed. The Alpha is much better than I expected. It's obvious, that there is still a lot of work to be done, but the start is already very promising. During the five hours I had one CTD. According to the debug.err a crash report was send to Steam, but I can upload the crash.dmp, should it be needed. Okay, here are some thoughts about the game: 1. Options: A. <img style="vertic
In theory, maybe, but isn't it a moot point until someone has infinite energy?
That quote was only meant to illustrate, that the Stellar Folder, unlike regular Hyperdrive, is capable of handling infinite speed. Travelling to another galaxy should, therefore, be possible, because you don't need infinite energy for that.

But at a certain point, Hyperdrive reaches a point where if there's no nearby mass, it no longer is stable. While in theory, Hyperdrive would allow infinite speeds outside the galaxy, the current technology of it can't handle such small amounts of mass. The Ascension technology is partially tied to this co

However, the part of the lore where this is mentioned (description of the Arena of Agony tech) specifically mentions telepathy first, so I kept it. It's possible, that the author confused telepathy with empat
It's pretty impressive how far this series has come. Makes me curious what the future will bring. As for the list itself, two things I've noticed: 1. Galactic Resources are mentioned twice. 2. I'm pretty sure, that GalCiv 1 had Cultural Conquest and Invasion Tactics too.
If Lord Kona thinks, that he'll beat the Yor, then he should think again. He doesn't stand a chance against the highly efficient and powerful Yor Colle... eh Singularity. I think you exaggerate a little. Yes, the Drengin are stereotypically evil. However, they're not completely one-note. Here are some things I know about the Drengin: 1. They are patient. If a plan takes tens of thousands of years to come to fruition, they are perfectly willing to wait. See the first conquest of Toria as an example. The Yor are probably the only race more patient than the Drengin. 2. They are calculating. When the Dr
