[quote who="eviator" reply="19" id="3547036"] For enterprise networks, it might not be so simple. In reality patches sometimes break things. Unmanaged patching creates headaches for those tasked with ensuring availability of corporate network resources. So companies may opt to create artificial patch cycles so patches can be managed. That survey is useless without breaking down what they consider small/medium/large/phablet. My M8 is 5.0" which is about all the larger I personally want, but I'd hardly call it a phablet. 5.5" eh, pushing it. 6", yeah, I'd call a phablet. But in my small sample (my IT office of about 90 people), I know of two people with a phone that's 6.0" (Lumia 1520's). Their numbers indicate a market of 20%. That also ignores that just because
First off let me wish you best of luck, however platformers aren't my cup of tea so I'm afraid I'll have to pass. But in regards to the feedback you requested here's my take based upon the Kickstarter page and YouTube video. Kickstarter Page: I'll pretty much second what Scott said on that. I know that's easier said than done for a non-native speaker, especially considering how bad a lot of native speakers spell. :) If you'd

Companies that do releases anywhere even close to this tend to not do another. They get tarred and feathered by the customers as they're introduced to their future bankruptcy in the form of 1 star reviews where the most telling complaint isn't about the game itself, but that the rating system doe

It's polished, the components are all there, but it's just not pushing the envelope. The first DLC helped with that in a way (new victory condition) and now the second DLC will add further complexity by another victory condition and race relations. Playing Endless Legend, on the other hand, was very much a bre
If Stardock doesn't object, it could be done. I've already converted a couple of Sins format models from the Armada 3 mod (many of which I believe were conversions as well from older Star Trek games) and had them 3D printed for table gaming purposes. The big restriction there though, is you don't get any textures, so it would need the hand of a good painter. But the model itself is solid. Blurry picture, but should give the general idea: <img src="h
Some of you have probably seen me respond to threads about this recently and some of you probably think I'm just some angry old guy or troll. But, I'm genuinely curious what peoples thoughts are on this. I've been a PC gamer for over 20 years now. I've been building my own PC's since my teens. I make my living as a IT Admin now. When I see a program (game or otherwise) list X specs as the Minimum System Requirements, I take that to mean the

I can play other strategy games like Civ BE and Endless Legend without issue on my machine. While I am all for helping people try to improve the game performance, there's a lot of bad/useless advice being given here. And a lot of people that don't seem to be reading the details in the original post. Before I start addressing that, OP, I will say that if you are seeing noticeably poorer performance than you did with a previous build, I would make sure the devs are aware of that. I also have to point out for the record that your computer is sitting at the MIN

What resolution are you running the game at?
As someone who was initially (meaning years and years ago) against Steam, I have to ask how long people are going to try to avoid it and what they have against it. I have no complaints about the Stardock store, but Steam is simply easier and faster.

Clean your fans out and consider getting a laptop cooler. GalCiv is a very CPU intensive game. Fallen Enchantress is not.
DETAILS! I NEED DETAILS!
Strategy games are a general rule are usually pretty demanding on the CPU and unfortunately the AMD APU's are less than stellar CPU's. That said, it's still beta and there's still optimization to be done so hopefully you will see improvement.
I could sell you some servers to fix that problem. :p My main PC has been neglected a bit as I've gone crazy on my home lab. 48 Cores, 208Gb of RAM, 22TB of Storage. THAT heats up the room. LOL. Gaming PC is a 3770k, 16Gb RAM, R9 290. It gets the job done.
It was a pretty tough call for me. I like them both.
