It'll be a cold day in hell before they restrict this to Win8. Win7 will be fine, but that's as far down the totem pole they will be going. They are after fully fledged 64bit with all the bells and whistles, no way will they go below Win7.

There is zero chance of debate - its been debated so many times over the years its unreal - just a case of seeing the final result for GalCiv 3.

Gets my vote - many times I curse in a similar way trying to find the detail of, or the main explanation for, a Tech/New Ability/blah blah, in Civilization, and/or related weapons and technologies. I have increasingly found this the case with GalCiv. As the game expanded over the years its become quite a problem in Civilization - its getting that way now with GalCiv. A simple key word search ability would meet the need nicely, with the output highlighting the related techs,

Tech Trees are as a result of the needs of the Core design of the Game. Not the other way around. As an abstraction ...... its pointless creating some kind of complex tree ending up at the top end with some miniaturised super-weapon vaporising all before it, if it does not fit the Game Flow. There are limits to that - of course - as base weapons for the core game must be created there - surprise - but as soon as you go past the Core elements, there has to be a need
but with the fighters idea it can open the door to a LOT of diversity
Another Carrier thread (without Carriers these "Fighters" are useless).... want a fighter - use ship builder to make one, along with its inevitable tactical resource limiting effects built into the ship builder, let alone its very limited ability to travel from System to System. GalCiv is a Strategic level game, and Brad has stated zillions of times, Carriers are not happening - its

Stardock have always built in a "sense of humour" into the software. It can get overdone and irritating, but Stardock always seem to get the balance right, not over done. I suspect the programmers also enjoy giving a more human edge to the software - win-win [e digicons]|-)[/e]

GalCiv3 is a Major rewrite on many levels, "old bugs" will not be relevant - would be like looking for a gas leek when you have an electrical fault. Bug hunting starts with a clean GalCiv3 sheet

This one (GalCiv TBS/RTS) usually goes round in circles - been that way for years, and in that regard I guess things will never change. But I will say one final thing, anyone who believes a Games House is going to suddenly do a 180 degree turn after already investing in the Core TBS Code via a V1 and a V2, and flippantly change it to RTS ..... sorry, but they live in a fantasy world so far from Commercial Reality, you might as well declare personal piggy-banks are

Well ...... if the reality lives up to the Theoretical Outline .... this will be an Industry Game Changer on the same scale of change as when the world moved from 32bit to 64 bit.
