Quoting tetleytea, reply 1 It's heartening to see it's being worked on. I've liked that about the whole Galciv series all along. It increases the replay value, when it's a new game very couple months. I just hope the market is fair about that--I hate to see the market
Who knows what a human life span will be in the distant future. Life extension tech added to the population tech tree would be nice
I doubt Humans would be able to live much longer than 150 even 500 years in the future. Technology ebbs and flows. Sometimes it improves, stagnates and even goes backwards depending on what`s happening. In fact, many in the intellectual world today are saying that

I think it`s about the life span of the average Human Being. Seems like months is a reasonable time frame. Weeks does seem way too short, even with the Tech. 5 years is way too long, at that rate you`d be changing generations in just a few turns which would make long term planning unrealistic since policy and politics would be constantly changing. People would be dropping dead after 17 turns. When we`re talking alien lifespans which could arguably much longer then you h
When can we expect the next balance improvements? I dont care about crashes within a good game. The game can autosave every turn and I can simply reload after a crash. So its far more important, that the game is balanced (and fun to play). Because an unbalanced game (even without crashes) isnt fun to play, so I dont play it at all.
Please don`t say such silly things like, "I don`t

Wait. I put in my own soundtracks in the game. I haven`t done it in Crusade cos i don`t have time yet, but I did it in the default Civ3. Replaced every track with my own version. Even had the Babylon 5 intro for the main intro. Have they changed something in Crusade or haven`t you tried?

Well for me to tell you what you`d like I`d need to know your personal bio, but I don`t know you so all I can do is tell you what i like. I`m a randomised man. I put all the options on random and take whatever the game throws at me (the only thing I choose is map size which is usually Large).
I played versus Gifted AI generally. But i got bored at late game. Anything to prevent that?
Strategy games always get boring in end games, it`s almost

I just wish pirates would negotiate to get money first before attacking. Pirates aren`t about attacking anything in sight, it`s about getting money/treasure, then attacking if you refuse.

It`s always a good idea to explain exactly where the error is because, sometimes, those who made the error can`t see it. And just to qualify your point. I guess you mean the part where it says, "thought" should be "through out" .

I remember when havoc physics was just taking off. It started in unreal tournament. Brought most people`s pcs to a crawl and you had to have particular type of graphic cards to even see it happen. Now we see havoc physics in real time smoothly- No one even thinks about it. I still do because I appreciate what we never had to what we have now- in all things. I hope one day someone will manage a breakthough like this with AI. Perhaps an AI module that can be fitted into pcs and adapts t
AI not being a priority for a single-player strategy game just makes zero sense to me. A RPG, maybe, but...a STRATEGY game??
I`ve pointed out this issue on other strategy game forums where Devs can clearly see. They never listen, still using 10 year old AI programming. It`s all about glossy graphics and "achievements". If the basic game can churn along on retarded AI, they`ll
Funny thing is, I'm taking to a pro gaming friend of mine, and he's saying that there's a glut of AI guys in the job market. Which surprises me, given the mind-bending nature of the problem to be solved. He says the gaming companies are more starved for artists.
This is absolutely NO surprise to me at all. Publishers have put less emphasis on a good AI focusing almost exclu

Very good. This is exactly the kind of tactical ground warfare I`d like, but you`d need a decent attacker\defender AI to make it work well. Not sure about the random terrain buildings thing though since once you know a planet`s terrain, youknow it- It wouldn`t change. Buildings should always be where first placed. The Devs should definitely look into implementing something like this (with the corresponding sound effects!)
I'm not a fan of the colony invasions in their current state (in build 2.31.4 of Crusade). I like the basic concept of Legions. They are expensive to build, and choosing to garrison them on a colony is a non-trivial investment, at least until later in the game. This all works for me. What I don't like is the "mini-game" (best way I can think of to describe it) when you invade an opponent's colony that has legions, and you have

The way I see it, you would be able to trade with minor civilisations in reality, so should be able to ingame. Add some kind of mechanic to "balance" it out. I dunno, have the major AI Civs do the same, so they benefit as much as the Player. Or have the Minor Civs very slow on Tech development (they are minor after all), so by the time you get it off them, the Major Civs are well passed that, but don`t just erase it unrealistically. I guess there`s a limit to what Devs can the

Nothing seems more strange or suspicious to me than after a whole week and 166 views there is not one single reply. Is it that hard a question? I asked politely, and waited. Do I have to ask rudely with impatience instead? I could have said, "This delay with the update with GOG suxx!11! you guy`s sucxxors!lool!11". But I didn`t because I believe in being polite, but being polite don`t work does it? I mean seriously, man, I want to support the Devs, bu
