Brad is definitely in favor of diminishing returns. Some others are winning the argument right now though.

I am happy to give Stardock my money.
You can actually shut the shipyard itself down. Open up the yard and you'll see the button in the bottom left area.
I just colonized the Island Dog starsystem =) It's kind of a small planet (size 8) but it has lots of sentimental value. Huzzah for Island Dog!
I have never seen it not pay. There's always a first time though.
Yes please.
I also disable tech brokering. Works nicely.
I think the coercion is fine. Research r chnologies to overcome it.

Go to the main wheel in Givernance tab and set it to something other than pure wealth, should fix your problem.
Issue: Minor typo.
v1.6 contains several mercenary ships which boost planetary production in one manner or another, might give you some new tags to leverage. Examples: +5 raw production +5 wealth +25% manufacturing
Note: First I want to say this appears to be a display issue only, population is still only giving 1:1 raw production. Issue: Tooltip values for raw planetary production are displaying "Population Effect (2)" and "High Approval (2)" with doubled values (ex. +20 production for 10 Pop). The calculated value which is displayed does NOT reflect this value. The amount allocated to each of Manufacturing / Research / Wealth does NOT reflect this value. St
Issue 02: The Arcean Weather Control is a manufacturing building with an adjacency bonus (to it) of +0.5 Morale per manufacturing from it's neighbors. This morale bonus does not get applied to the planet. Steps to Duplicate: Start a game with a race possessing Archean technology tree Research Weather Control Make a note of your total morale (mine was 8 in this instance, then a bunch of mods etc applied) Build a Weather Contr
Issue 01: Arcean Navigation Center building is supposed to give +X movement to all ships, but does not. Steps to Duplicate: Play the Arceans, or design a race with their technology tree Develop Navigation tech Construct the building - note I built mine next to a Preparedness Center (from Pragmatic Ideology) for the +2 bonus (x) Check ships, no speed increase is registered Build a shipyard at this planet, just in c

The scout has no drives, the colony ship does. It does get a speed boost by virtue of being tiny, +2 I think?
We'll test and find horrible bugs - which hopefully get fixed before release =)
Been around a long time. It used to be that the paths were not exclusive, you could research all three if you wanted. Then it was changed to just one, but you've always been able to trade for fill-ins.
Ack! Invaders!
I keep looking for my "Howling Dog" star but it has never been sighted.
" + Created new Moral Allowance planetary project that funnels social manufacturing production into boasting the planet's morale." I vote that this be changed to the classic "Bread and Circuses" of Roman times. If not that, then at least add an "e" onto "Morale Allowance".
I'm a MacOS user myself, dual boot to Win 8.1 for GalCiv3.
Research building downgrades make "Ancients" trait even more powerful than it already is. Might want to address that as well?
Can you scavenge pirates?
