Space for space lots of things cost more than fighter bays.

Build more expensive ships.
Have faith, things are continually improving. Just because this expansion didn't have your hot-button feature doesn't mean there isn't lots of good content. Think happy thoughts.
I agree, it generally seems better to carry more shielding.
I play with uncommon planets and uncommon habitable planets. With such settings on Huge I use seven AI players and we all end up with something in the 5-10 planets range depending on how aggressively folks expand.
Woot! Infinite durability!
Seen this off and on for a long time.
You can be mercilessly practical, but trying to spread peace and love through superior firepower just doesn't work...
Been this way a long time, I would have to say it is working as intended. You can do cool stuff with it though, makes hunting for approval boosting tiles interesting.
Awesome, TY.
So it used to work and now does not. Hah! I'm not crazy! /does happy dance Wait, I need / want this thing to work... /does unhappy dance
I am unable to duplicate your success with the Stellar Forge. It doesn't work for me. I am convinced we have differing versions of the game, but dam-if-I-know how. I base this reasoning on the fact that the Stellar Forge displayed in your video shows +10% Hit points AND +10% maintenance reduction even with zero adjacency bonuses. The version in my game does not show maintenance reductions until it receives adjacency bonuses. Steps Taken: Usin
I am not sure the maintenance is working either. If I build small ship design X it has a maintenance of 4 / turn. Then I attach the Stellar Forge with an implied 30% maintenance discount and build an identical ship, it still has a maintenance of 4 / turn. What am I missing?
+1 on keybinding.
Coercion is a percentage loss of your base production, and you can impact it in two places. Open up Governance tab and play with the wheel in there that sets priorities for all of your star systems. If you set it too heavily in one direction or another there can be a massive loss of productivity. My most common setting is 44-44-12 Manufacturing-Research-Wealth, which gives me a coercion penalty of zero. When looking at a planetary screen, you can al
10% more for free is a valid bonus. I agree that it is not enough to make you specialize the planet bit it isn't intended as such.
Build governments and your coercion problems should go (at least partially) go away.
Unfortunately the Dread Lords had been by and shattered all of the planets, all that remains is an asteroid field. Sorry Brad, I tried!

I am also really liking the Arcean tree. My original attraction was the movement bonuses from buildings.
Brad has talked about running it on his Surface. I can't remember details though.
Unintended, reported before. From what I read the fix should be coming soon™.
