Greetings! I haven’t played in a few years and need to relearn the game. Is the tutorial updated, or is it ancient? - Manii Names

Given my desire to have the most recent code available, right now should I be using one of the beta versions, or opt out? Since the beta version appears to be v3.6 and the master branch also appears to be 3.6 it is hard for me to tell if there is a difference.
And just to remind you [e digicons]:)[/e] : Make standard govern setting for new and conquered planets "Auto-Upgrade Improvements" *AND* "Do not upgrade until planet is full".
+1
Here’s another one. Request: Allow community to submit pull requests against your codebase. - For certain Stardock is using some form of version control software, be it git or bitbucket or whatever. It would be very nice if we could submit PRs against that VCS to fix typos and other small issues. Here’s some examples. https://forums.galciv3.com/494122/
Going to add some more to this thread. Request: Allow us to type over the suggested text instead of being forced to manually delete it. - I tend to rename things. Planets, star systems, ship designs, starbases. When doing so, in some cases I can select the field and just start typing, the suggested text will disappear and be replaced by my new text. In other cases I have to click at the end of the suggested text string and then hold down the delete key
I experienced this problem twice in 3.6, stock all dlc no mods. My fix was to save the game and then load it, was able to continue.
A1: Mining star bases are used to extract resources from the special nodes you can see floating in space. You then spend these accumulated resources to build special buildings, improvements, and ship components. You can also trade them, but I don’t recommend it most of the time as other nations don’t offer you enough in return. I do buy from others when I am desperate. The engineering tech page has a path which will allow you to slowly upgrade your mi
After I ran into the Precursor Research and it offered +4/4 bonuses, the +1 here definitely looks like a typo. Suggest +10 to implement the Factory Worker's Paradise!
Issue: The benevolent colonization event for the Precursor Factory world states there will be a +10 bonus to morale. The actual bonus is only +1. IDK if it's the text that is wrong, or the bonus. +1 Bonus seems kind of punyso that is where I think the issue lies. Offending code is on L1000 of DLC4_ColonizeEventDefs.xml. &
Typo: When trying to stack two commanders into the same fleet, the game displays an error message with a typo 'ore' | 'or'. This is on line 15655 of UIText.xml. STACKED_SHIP_ERROR_TOO_MANY_COMMANDERS <span st
Worked for me last night. Fleet was at 6/10, then added commander. Version: Current opt-in with all DLC. No mods
I noticed the consulate thing as well. Just build two of them next to each other and it's a ton of money.
Personally I think going negative on tourism is valid. Your race got two points to spend on other traits by assuming this would never hurt you. However it is being changed, so the penalty will end up being extremely minor.
Is it my lifetime, or Brads? And if I croak can my children inherit my founder status? =)
Your explanation was solid. Appreciate the change!
I find the tourism thing hilarious. Emperor Silicon Race: ‘We built the hotels and groomed the beaches. Millions of credits invested, but nobody wants to visit!’ Minister of Tourism: ‘Maybe our guests dont enjoy the crusty lava flow beaches and accompanying tar pools?’
Issue: Ships constructed with a Precursor Satellite planet receive a sensor power bonus of 10%. However if you look at the details of such a boosted ship, and then mouse over the ‘Sensor Range’ information, a ‘Missing Info 10%’ is displayed.
Issue: When harvesting anomalies I now get money with an extra decimal point. Example might be ‘Treasury +46.6’. I regard this as a very minor issue but it’s new. Stock game, all DLC (Founder)
My silicon self thanks you for our ability to colonize! Q about ship upgrades with one per player components. Does this mean if I obtain a ‘Precursor Boom Cannon’ (not real name!) from an event, and mount it on a ship, I can later upgrade that ship and retain the cannon?
Q: Does the originating planet use these values as well, or is the only thing that matters the destination planet?
Admiral, it has been fixed but not released. That’s why my post asked if a bug fix build would be possible. Since it is now Saturday I assume the answer is no =/
@PreviousPoster ^^^ The issue you're talking about w Planetology etc has been reported in the support forum and Mormegil reported it as fixed. Q: Any chance of a (small) bug fix build soon™?
Thank you Mormegil. We appreciate it.
Agreed, I ran into this with a custom Silicon based race. Wanted to colonize the wonderful extreme precursor planet I found, but the technology just didn't exist in my tree.
