Don't think it is working as intended. On my colonized planets, I can build ideology and military improvements only once. Playing Terran, conquering Drengin planets. If there's a military building present, like Military Academy, I can build another of these on an empty tile. Same if there was an ideology building, I can build my neutral preparedness center many times over on the planet.

Playing Terran, conquer planet Orlando II from Drengin. It happens on other planets too, but it's there I discovered why I can't place a structure on an empty tile :P The Drengin built the Planetary defense dome on their planet, but there is no graphic appearing. I can see other Drengin buildings allright though. Saved game:
I went ahead and installed the game on another computer. I have the same problem, no dumps are generated.
I know you mentioned you've seen them before, but do you have "show hidden files and folders" set to display?
yes, I also use FreeCommander instead of the default Windows Explorer. I can still see the logs from 23-04. Just not anything since then. I also searched my 2 drives for dmp files, and the only recents files (corresponding to my crashes) are in D:\Program files (X86)\Steam\Dumps. The
I rechecked to be sure (I had already gotten a look before), and no, they ain't there.
Looking at C:\Program Data\Stardock\... I can see my old dump files, those for beta 5, but not a single one for beta 6. How am I supposed to report these to make sure they're fixed? I disabled an re-enabled "Collect gameplay data", but it does not seem to change anything.
Not for much longer buddy! Whohaha. [e digicons];)[/e]
I did it with beta 6 :) I colinized a few worlds deep inside ennemy zone, trying to hold on to it with influence starbases. Didn't work. My last planet, I traded to Iridium, while >60% in rebellion, ready to flip. Got exploration treaty, all his cash, 39bc/week, all his resources, 5 mining starbases.
Is this still happening after the beta 6 opt-in?
yes, it is with beta 6 opt-in (.90), sorry for not being more specific.
I agree wholeheartedly, I've been saying this for a while. Where's the 1D-2D-3D-4D phasing? Where's the teleporters? Where's the terror stars? I read in the notes somewhere Antimatter Missiles are supposed to be back in, but why oh why every time we go to the "future" do options and tech vanish? Why are we more limited? Where's the advances? The
Saw it too, reported it in the support forum: https://forums.galciv3.com/464051/page/1/#3541841 I'd say submit another save game referencing our ticket # :)
I understood you correctly :) I don't feel the tech tree is too short as it is, but maybe I haven't played it long enough. :) I think I like it this way, you can still trade with the AI to get your missing techs, you choose a path, the AI chooses another, than you trade.
As long as you have the minimum specs, I would still submit a bug report with the game, and the crash info with http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe . Follow the instructions here: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/de
Ah, I always mixes the two, color wise, can't ever remember wich is wich. Thank you for retesting this and pushing further :)
Ok, here are the saves if you want to take a look at it. #1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ngcq596yq1csz2h/possible%20influence%20bug.GC3Sav?dl=0 There they have about half the map under their influence. #2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mq6bso
Something very weird just happenned. I'm playing Terran. All major civilizations are active in the game, most of the minors too. Suddenly, the map turns out all bright orange, as if everyone is now in Krynn's syndicate zone of influence. As far as I can tell, no one has surrendered all at once. I can still see the other races planets, so they haven't surrendered that. I can see them all in the diplomacy screen. If I try to
That bug is still present, but not 100% of times. It happened with my first game, but I couldn't reproduce it for a while (I quitted the game multiple times and re-entered correctly), but now it's happenning. Galciv process remained in memory, have to shut it down from task manager, then have to force quit Steam, restart, launch the game anew. I've refiled a ticket. #LBH-640-10109 EDIT: beta 6 opt-in, version .90.
Again, this may be WAD, so I'm not filing a bug report yet... I'm trading techs with an AI player. Give a few techs, ask for a few techs, complete by asking the AI for money. It suggests an amount of money, as it did with 5.3. The thing is, I have to click again on the amount of credits asked to have it lowered. In essence, I'm doing it twice. Was that intended to discourage tech trading? Example: give 3 techs
I find it extremely annoying. I like my mini map to be unzoomed, to see as much as I can, and only on occasion zoom back to some part of the space. But now, it resets itself after every turn, and even when I click on "idle ship".
ah, nice :) Hope I get time to try that with beta 6 :)
This is with beta 5, but if given the occasion, maybe it could be tested with beta 6, I'd be curious to try it with a lonely explorer ship deep inside foreign territory. The AI places lots of value on planets, starbases and ships, but it can't seem to realize how valueless something can be for me. So, the Drengi surrendered to me and gave me their last planet, Drengi. Drengi is deep inside ennemy territory, far, far away from me. There's no way I can hold
One thing I would say though, is that Beta 6 should be released asap, given the huge number of critical bugs it fixes. The games launches in 3 weeks, and there are many critical bugs in beta 5, and to be on the safe side, we need to hammer critical crashes/freezes right now, so they could release a beta 7 before 'gold', worst case scenario, then a day 1 patch for other issues. Right now, I have issues I don't know if they are fixed or not. If I don't report t
Right now, if you upgrade your entire fleet of ships, it does not display the costs of the operation, meaning you (well, I :) ) often found yourself in bankruptcy. There's no way of knowing how much money it will cost and compare it to your credit stash, nor will the game display a warning like "Warning: the operation will cost 2500 while you only have 2200 credits. Do you want to proceed?". Shouldn't there be some kind of warning like that? Or at least a display o
I started a new game with a custom faction and found 2 bugs. The first is that when I upgrade ships I have a long list of the same ship, in this case a scout, over and over dozens of the same ship. This appeared the first time I upgraded a ship and has persisted every time I upgrade I have to search through dozens of the base ship to find the upgraded version.
this bug appears to be still there, as of beta 5. Don't know a
It should be done automatically, I think. I did not have to do this last time I went bankrupt. Weird. It seems to be it anyway, moving the sliders did it.
Something weird. It's not the first game I've played on this beta where I am going bankrupt following a ship upgrade, but this time, there is no coming back from it. I know I went bankrupt before in another game and it got ok after my treasury went back positive, but now it is simply not working, even if I'm generating cash and have a few thousand credits in my treasury, research and production are stalled. I didn't see anything like that in the for
