It's not going up today ;)

It is not, in fact, up.
Posted this to the streaming thread under News, but I thought some folks here would probably get a kick out of it. I had to cancel our ship designer preview on the stream this week (last-minute complications, sorry!), but this is a tease of just how powerful the Galactic Civilizations III ship designer is. <a href="http://sd.stardock.com/jamus/images/2014-05-
How about this, as an example of what you can do with the ship editor? It is called The Biggest Wiggle 2. To be clear, this is not a new faction, nor was it designed by one of our artists. It's just an example of what the Galactic Civilizations III ship designer can do. P.S. Oh yeah, it's <a href="http://sd.stardock.com/jamus/images/2014-05-02
Today's topic: the best-laid plans of mice and men! We had some last-minute complications with our build, and unfortunately this means I have to cancel the stream. Please accept my apologies, everyone. Unfortunately, this is the reality of game development. You can plan and plot and schedule out to your heart's content, and then sometimes the build blows up anyway. The team is hard at work getting the ship designer ready for release to our founders ASAP -- trus
UPDATE: Plans, as they often do, changed a bit on us. The ship designer preview will be on Friday, May 2, at 3pm Eastern (noon Pacific, 9pm CET). See you there!
Great questions so far, keep 'em coming! Regarding spending our development resources elsewhere, that's not really a concern. The stream takes time out of Paul and/or Ray's day exactly equal to the time we spend broadcasting. The vast majority of the effort to get a stream online comes from me, and I'm not a GalCiv developer ;) I help out the dev team in some other ways (feedback, in-game writing, etc) but believe me when I tell you that a weekly stream has no

Hey Founders! Our changes to Elite Founder star naming are now live. You can change your submitted star name (it will have to be re-approved) now, and spaces are now allowed. Lead designer Paul Boyer, producer Ray Bartos, and myself (Adam Biessener) are playing and chatting Galactic Civilizations III again on the official Stardock Twitch.tv channel . Join us tomorrow at 10am Pacific time (1pm Eastern, 7pm CET for our European friends) and spend some quality Q&A time with the Galactic Civilizations III devs! This week's topic: ideology. Bring your questions about the system as it currently exists in the alp
I put together some highlights on our Twitch page if you don't have 38 minutes to hang out and watch GC3 videos, you poor soul you.
Thanks everyone for watching! Thanks ParagonRenegade! We'll get this up on YouTube soon for sure so that some of the folks who were having issues with Twitch's streaming can enjoy the video.
Okay, I have ParagonRenegade and logancollinsworth as offering to join the stream. Heads it's PR, tails it's logan. I am amused at this outcome. ParagonRenegade it is!
We are in fact doing it again ! I'll repost the second stream to YT for sure.
Lead designer Paul Boyer and I are broadcasting live to the Internet at large again tomorrow, playing some Galactic Civilizations III and taking your questions. Catch it at 12pm Pacific time (3pm Eastern, 9pm CET for our friends across the ocean) on the official Stardock Twitch channel . This may be a silly idea, but since the internal build doesn't have anything super-exciting to show right now (it's just bug fixes so far, but we hav
Thanks for showing up to the stream and bearing with some first-try shenanigans. Fun stuff! The audio situation will be better next time for sure, have no fear :) Link to the video (though you can always find stuff at twitch.tv/stardock)
Im fine with any comment you make Is it ok to share the stream/ link outside these forums?
Of course :)
Derp, thanks for catching that link fail on my part EvilMonk3y. Fixed. Stupid forums. I think we're a leeeeeeeetle too early for the ship designer to make an appearance though ;) DARCA, we can definitely talk about tech specialization.
I've finally got the equipment set up and Mormegil (lead designer Paul Boyer) convinced to do a developer stream of Galactic Civilizations III at http://twitch.tv/stardock .Tune in at noon Pacific (3 p.m. Eastern) tomorrow to ask your questions live and/or see how effectively I can troll Paul on-air. We'll keep the video up so you can watch it on demand later, of course. I was originally planning on streaming the internal build as
We’ve already pushed out our first post-launch patch for the Galactic Civilizations III alpha, thanks in no small part to the feedback our Elite Founders have been providing in the mere week they’ve had with the game. We’re extremely pleased with the
