Sorry, I am looking for a search of components which I have already found and already deployed/built on a ship. As I said I often use the components on a as needed basis (i.e. need a super fast ship - dump the speed components on), but after that I forget where I last used the component, thus I have to search through each ship, which is a pain.

It would be nice to have a search capability to locate ships which are currently using a special component. I often have multiple designs using these components, so have to search each type of ship (let alone if I redesign that). Reason for this is I want to build an "important" new ship and want that component on it, I have to search entire fleet to find the ship(s) using them (if more than one component) so I can decommission them. Maybe you cou

Trim2u ? How so. Currently doesn't the game TOTAL the current manufacturing? Isn't that the number bottom left corner? Manufacturing 23.0?????? So they already have code which totals a planets values (once a building is built). What I would like to see is when you place a building (place; not hover; not click -if you do nothing else in X rounds it WILL be b

I am saying place the building, drop it down, double click the square. Just as soon as I do that it should be able to calculate the new "proposed" total. THAT IS WHAT I WANT. I then want to "Destroy" the building and check it against the other type to see which one will produce more when I place it. Not sure how this is so hard to understand. I am NOT saying hover over, think about placing select a build, no PLACE IT...
Also, more to the point: Any such placement assistant requires a lot of coding. First, there's the code to not do calculations until you hover the new building over a hex for some number of seconds (5?).
Actually it should be very simple because they already have the code, the game already computes the total once a building IS BUILT. They just have to take that routine a

There is a galactic event which converts dead planets to good planets (or another .IIRC) that creates the new planets. Either way I'm pretty sure it's from Galactic Events. I try to anticipate with these and have a bunch of Colonizers ready.

So is a better to replace the "AntiMatter factory" with a normal factory in mid/late game or is the base + still better? Is 50% + bonus% better than Antimatter base + plus +3 to adjacent factories (+3 .vs. +1). Logically it seems the +3 antimatter seems better, but whenever I take over a planet the Antimatter (and similar buildings) are always to the side (not surrounded) so I ask is the game smarter than me or what?

Thanks for feedback. Over lunch break (work from home) I was able to swap in the extra memory. Works like a charm, with just GC3 and resource monitor running I stand at 16.8GB ram usage (though I only played a round or two.) But seems to have solved the issue (will have to try the next map size up :) ) Note: the hard fault is just memory swaps, not crashes, in resource monitor it calls page swaps "Hard Faults".

When I place a building it would be nice to see (in the total section [productivity/research/money]) the current total and "new" total once built. Clearly the program can do that because once it's built it computes the total, so I just want to see "proposed" new total before it's actually built (but after it's been placed).

Ok in watching memory, GC3 is eating all my 16gb and have massive hard faults. I have a spare 16GB sitting in another computer I will try and swap in later today to see if that fixes it. What system memory sets are others using for the larger maps? Does anyone use a SSD for windows swapping?

I was wondering is it me (my computer) or is it the game. Game: Excessive Map Computer: i7-4790 (16GB Ram), GTX-960, Windows7 I have what most ppl would consider a decent top end system. PassMark performance test is great, but when playing this game it brings my computer to the ground, where literally it stops mouse movement or anything else. Literally it takes 2-3 mins to do things, merger (demerge) fleets, build ship.

Mid to late game I have what I call my Galactic Scanners, which usually start with a scan range of 15- but I've gotten them up to 72 (only need 1 or 2 of these). Another tactic I would suggest, rather than hit just their forward planets is to take more strategic path and hit planets which will allow you to culture flip planets (those that have the most culture). Then protect those more than the others that way even if they do take some back you will simply culture f

It may not be that they are gaining, but rather you are losing. The "Trading Resources" for military give you additional Mass, so if you design a ship while you have that resources, then either trade it away or lose it back (after getting it in trade form other) it will adjust your mass.

It would be nice to add hot to build Mining Base when you have an asteroid selected. "B" would be the logical choice. While were at it a key-stroke to bring up the "Command" menu and all the rest of the options as well please. Since some of them already have key strokes I assume you have the code already in there for menu to have keystrokes, so it should be minor to add the other menu options with keystrokes.
