Created two more ships for the fleet, One is an escort carrier, and the other is a giant shield ship, designed to soak up damage.

Hey you three Awesome!!............ :)

The Rottweiler class orbital station.  Use your ships with expensive drives in space, let this beast handle things at home

It's a Gigantic orbital defense station, the station serves as a mount for the massive solar accelerator weapon, which fires basically a miniature sun.

That is where all your custom designs ship are saved.

I strongly recommend you back up your designs folder to a CD just in case the next Beta patch breaks ships.

NOT AGAIN!!!! Beta 3 update became the Doomsday machine for my Star Trek Fleet. It broke 3/4 of all the ships I made and overwrote them to the same designs that did show up.

I can officially say now that the Beta 3 update became the BORG 3 update for me. Resistance was INDEED Futile. :borg:

Love the designs, even the Federation ones. While I do think the Feds have the most boring design concept in the entire Star Trek universe, the ones here are very well done. Now the question... How?

I find it hard to believe you work through the game to max out the available sizes and components, especially since save games go away with each iteration of the Beta. Since I don't have a designer available from the main menu, I'd like to know what you're using so I can play too.

Thanks.

Patience is the key here. I can spend several hours working on a design while in game until it looks as close to the actual ship as game permits. I also download and print ship schematics of the actual ships to use as my reference guide. It can take two to three days to complete one ship depending on size and how much detail I can add. I will also edit ships several times after test building them to find flaws in my designs. Making my own custom parts based on Star Trek warp nacelles also makes a difference in now realistic they look.

Results speaks for itself. My patience and persistence pays off.

when you are in the game you have to bring up the console. You this by hitting the ~ key it is next to the number 1 key. after it brings up the console type unlock ,....after it unlock it may take awhile cose it out by hitting the ESC key the go to designer and design away!

Opinions please!!!

Here is my first Beta 3 ship and first rebuild of a ship I lost after the update. I have some mixed feelings about this ship,  To me it's to bright and to blingy so I want to know what you all think of it and where I could make changes to make it more subdued. I used some Yor ships parts this time.

 TOS Constitution Class, new design.

Please be honest!!!

This is a new fighter I worked on, it's hard to stay away from my exported parts.  I hope they fix that for the Tuesday patch.

Only just noticed this today, but some of our ships from this thread are getting used to promote the ship designing aspect on the Steam store page, which is pretty cool.  Or at least I'm assuming they are using the images from this thread given they used my forum name and not my steam id.

Link to the store page.

Yup they are Sisko.

@ Rand Star Trek ships especially federation ones can never be too blingy just check out enterprise and excelsior in spacedock at the beginning of ST3 ;)
