The ship designer is out now in the the alpha 2.0 patch, so when have a that ship designed feel free to post it here and so others can see what kind of cool things you can build with it.
This is why I asked! Omnibus Battleship had no Arms no Shields NO Added Engines or Life support. it was just a Hull. The game Kind of saw it but could not build
it. there was no thumbnail. He just change something minor. re name it and it show up and works now. I think if you try to use the same name the game think
there are no changes and does not save it right. but it still show up OK on the Builders PC. What Rands is saying is that one or more of the working Parts may not
be saving right when you add all those Parts. which I think is another Problem because the game does not show the ships at all.By changing a part remove or add
and renaming the ship the game goes threw the ship and add the parts to the file under new name and then should work.This is why I ask Rand to do this to the
two fighters to see if this works. All of EDs ships work for me 3 of the 8 fighters that Rand sent me work. and now all of Omnibus ships work after he did that
minor change and rename. This may only be a work around I don`t know.
Nasty and I agree there is a compounded problem with the ship designer. Two we found are in fact ship names when re-saving ship designs and the other is working functional ship parts that came with the game not player made parts, This only affects custom ship designs. Nasty is spot on correct in his assessment.

Rand Johnson been thinking, the Alterian parts would make for some good Vulcan ships. If you are interested let me know and I'll share some model images I made, fighters up to battleships.
Ed upload a Vulcan ship schematic and I'll see what parts work best for making Vulcan ship designs.

I finally made some fighters to go with my beam ships
One is a missile spammy sort of ship and the other is mounted with a distruptor cannon, lemme know what you think.

Here is a new design. I edited this ship several times because some ship part were way out of scale. I spent roughly 7 hours designing this ship.

Haha, a little bit, I love macross verifighter designs. It's not really a faithful copy of any though.

More of my defense platforms, no engine or life support, just weapons and defense. These are the tiny, small and large versions. I also started naming them after dog breeds.

Let me throw an idea at you. Next time you design a defense "satellite", think in terms of Star Wars. Those wingy ding parts make great Laser turret pylons.
