I tried solving a little of the hull-size angst by making a additional medium hull that was a "prototype" and automatically cost durantium. The game does not properly support multiple hulls in the same size category and there were soft-glitches (not crashy) with it, like a ship would be saved and upon reloading the game, would be defined as a normal hull type. Real shame, could've opened up the possibility of researching specialist hulls of each size, like a scout hull with

Which is sad. Minors should add a special something if peacefully acquired. Preferably something more unique than +5% to this or that, but even that would be a improvement. Oh, and obviously a way of acquiring them peacefully through doing them favors and not culture flipping, which they should remain immune to.
Perfectly great ideas. Alternatively, could simply have 3 categories instead of Benevolent/Malevolent/Pragmatic, replace them with "Economics, Military, Culture" and change the events to suit. This would work even if you can't make each line mutually exclusive, and the different lines for each category simply are different flavors of varying morality. Making sure the more advanced traits come with downsides would also help, again, assuming we can't disable choosing certa
Hey guys! GRM is proud to release a new Add-On package! The Delnorian Renegades, a new race and a unique shipset based on the Revenge of the Snathi DLC is now available here: http://www.nexusmods.com/galacticcivilizations3/mods/18/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.
Did they fix the bug with malevolent where hitpoints for enemy ships are supposed to be reduced in your territory but instead your ships get penalized?
https://sites.google.com/site/gauntletsshipyard/aquilaran-hegemony/regime-of-tothk?pli=1 Regime of Tothk completed for the Wiki. Also the Snathi set is almost done, just have to produce the Small ship templates. The Huges were fun, quite happy with their set so far. Preliminary designs for the Aquilarans have also begun, but I am still trying to find my footing
Hahaha. I literally just finished the wiki article on the Colonies of Zrentak, warning, its lengthier than most. https://sites.google.com/site/gauntletsshipyard/aquilaran-hegemony/colonies-of-zrentak I'm now working on the Regime of Tothk, who'll be replacing my Narn rip-off race, which was just randomly put together, whereas the To
Gauntlet, if what you say is true, why does the game have those options? Why does it actually keep a running checklist as to why a race likes or dislikes your race? When you check status, it actually has pluses next to factors like "gave us a gift," "Same ideology," "open boarders." Why do this if they don't matter? Why bother with that aspect when, in the next turn, the same race says, "you realize we're going to eventually enslav
Something to keep in mind about most games, and certainly GC, is that while we the players try to roleplay, the game's objective and design is not generally focused on that. The game is much more object/resource based, than action based. Which is classic for any strategy game, IE will you build research stations or factories? That is a strategy, and to GC diplomacy is no different. Will you spend X resources building out embassies? The game does not care about your "action
... I don't disagree, I recommend you make a separate thread for it... in my head I'm saying ala that one X-Wing Fighter Pilot.. "Stay on Topic... Stay on Topic..." New Vid
Yes, my mod would likely conflict with the Palette mod. Since my mod adds appearances, based on the original game file for colors. Most likely, my mod appearances are references lines/colors that simply are not present on the new palette (at least, their code number might not be). So game looks for color, can't find it... and... boom. You could test this by taking out the GRM file that mods appearances, and then see if it loads. If not, try also taking out all the custom races.</p
Whoops Double Post
Thanks man! Any feedback on what you'd like to see more of?
Well the Aquilarans are now up... but they don't have a shipset yet lol. I developed the GRM universe originally for a boardgame project of mine, the Aquilarans are one of the most crucial galactic players, but I neglected making their ships early on since I was originally just focused on doing races that felt cool or had a novelty to them. More to come!
Or for that matter fallen enchantress
Ah I think I figured it out. My apologies, I got a couple of logos from this download and attributed it to Pierreluc, whose never responded to my requests/questions. Really sorry about the confusion, I see now you posted the logos prior via this post here . I'm working on editing the attributions now. You can ignore my PM.
PM Sent! Just need some details. Thanks
Hey guys! I'm working on the Wiki. The first full species profile is completed. So you can now learn a lot more about the Ukaros! https://sites.google.com/site/gauntletsshipyard/aquilaran-hegemony/ukaros-dynasties
I do hope to make the Screelings a Mega Event. The idea, would be that large fleets of ships start marauding the galaxy, and more importantly, until they are utterly wiped out, the galaxy suffers a significant tourist, trade, and morale penalty.
Hey there! So here is the brief F4 vid. This is my most developed town, Starlight Drive-In. Its really a good showcase of whats possible with enough of the content mods. I also really like the Kirani! I want to do another pass on the wiki and start detailing more things soon too, but we will see.
Gauntlet, Is it possible to get all the races and stuff in one download or do I have to DL each custom race? Also is the DL link at the top on first page the correct one and updated to your latest version? I am willing to wipe my entire game off the Hard drive and do a fresh reinstall at this point. I keep getting multiple factions at the start of the game saying they are missing parts or links. I can
Sorry, but no, not really. I just take defaults and recolor, and rotate. I'm very interested in partnering with someone who can do this well. I'd even pay a retainer in free cocktails if they happen to be in Massachusetts....
FYI, I'm running version 1.5 of GC3 with GRM and having no issues. Please post if you have any issues.
after invading a planet, you can scuttle the colony, thus removing the planet from play by rendering it uninhabitable.
Do you know what the previous version of GRM you installed? You can download any of the old versions and find the file name. There are not that many custom race files... 14-16... You should be able to remove it using process of elimination. If you'd like screen-sharing technical assistance, email me with select times that may work for you on November 29th, 30th, or 31st.
