What would your wifes and girlfriends think if they caught you all flirting and worshipping the carielf?
Being able to research more then 1 tech at a time would be nice;)
up to be something really great. Can't wait to see it in action:)
I think that this forum is poorly designed in general and most of the problems come from this issue. In saying that though I have no problems with it myself. I think if someone wants to make an empire thread in the GF they should be allowed to. Look at it this way, If someone doesn't want to read through 5000 posts of empire related talk then they simple dont have to. Its a simple decision, and takes no more the 1 sec to decide. For the people that do great. Why have this division because some p
Hmm, interesting MC - I've never had to spend anything on propaganda and never had a planet flip to another major. Ain't it good how there's so many different ways to play this game successfully
In some of my AP games the AI has been improved in the cultural victory department. I had the Torians in my last game fliping all the Arceans planets to them through placing party palaces everywhere. The map was absolutely covered in these. Most times I dont spend money in propag
The reason why the expansion isnt coming out in the shops is not any fault of stardocks. It's the publisher's/distributor's. I bought AP online with my credit card and have had no problems what so ever. It's time to bite the bullet Christopher, either follow cari elf's link and do it that way. Or buy it online with your credit card which I must say is alot better in my opinion. Or go without. ;)
I play AP (Altarian Prophecy). I pick Huge/Rare/Tight clusters. I pick Populist Government, Diplomacy +50% and trade routes+2. I play at maso(all incredible AI) and it's quite easy to hit the 60K mark on those settings. Large map will also score 60k if you know how to tweak the score up abit.
(The following from the Encyclopedia)
Cultural Influence has been updated since then and cultural influence has now drastically been reduced, but it is still an affective method, just takes a little longer. When you start playing at harder levels you will find that AI will ask you to hand them over as Theoden mentioned and if you dont then be prepared for war. A good way around this is you can make an alliance with the race you want to flip, then they will allow
Proproganda spending will not increase your morale on a planet, unless an AI is spending money to destabilize you
Im pretty sure that is not correct. Colonize a planet early on like in the colony rush at the beginning. Wait for its morale to drop some. Spend money on propaganda and the morale will rise on that planet. This happens even before you will come in contact with another race or close enough for the destabilzing effects. But is does help combat other civs destabi
How long between elections? Is this a fixed length?
Im pretty sure it's 24 months. To raise your morale build some infrastructure such as entertainment networks, news networks, multimedia centre, stadiums and harmony generator's which you can aquire by researching certain techs. Also 1-2 months out of an election drop your taxes by half, then when the election is over raise your taxes again to your prefered rate. To look at how many months you have left to an election jus
I always thought a starbase had to be built on a resource!
Not at all. A good trick is to build SB's along your trade routes. Attach trade modules to the star base and increase your trade income. Or you can build a SB in your sector where you own a system and keep adding mining modules that increases your production, or military that increases your fleets attack power etc. Just plant a star base in your sector by pressing the (b) key and then keep adding more constructors
Is there an updated (1.20) version of the manual ANYWHERE?
Im not to sure on this, but they might bring out a new manual for when AP is finished which everyone can download and use. I dont worry about the manual anymore, there is huge amounts of info in these forums which go into more detail etc... Also if you have any questions just post them in the forums and most times within a day or 2 you will get the answers your seeking. With regards to fleet comb
Exar, I know that we have not seen each other eye to eye lately, but my post was not intended to offend you, was an intent to keep your mind away from the problems, and make you realize that life is a short period of time that we must enjoy to the fullest. You need to smile more, laugh more often and don't take verything so seriously, that is the best medicine for the heart. When you take a stand you must realize that no always people will agree with you. Many people will have different o
Master of Orion 3 is Microsoft excel set in space. That was my biggest problem with it.
LOL LOL to true..... Poor interface. Very annoying espionage system I couldn't stand. When I would get a new leader and 3 turns later they where assinated, happened everytime. Then every turn sitreps piled on top of each other with mainly useless information. The game on paper looks very fantastic and lots of awesome idea's, but those idea's where poorly imple
Well, I don't have a mouse wheel on my laptop. So, how about making an editable control where the number of colonist is displayed? Put the value of colonists to be loaded into the edit box. The slider would still work, but players would also just be able to type in the value they want (50, 100, etc) into the amount.
I have a laptop as well and dont use a wheel mouse, I use a wacoms graphics tablet. I would also love to see the option of being able to type in the amount of
I must say Im really impressed with Stardock and there game GalCiv. I dont know of any other company that offers so much more to a game after it's release for FREE. We get continual new features, bug fixes, updated AI to make it harder on the more advanced players. It's been a while since it was released and were still getting updates for free, people need to keep in mind that Stardock doesn't get paid for these updates and we dont pay them for these patches so it's eating into there OWN pocket
