Proper official manual and information -> when?

I am chuffed Stardock is supporting Galciv though a good series of patch, etc. but where can I find an updated manual? The one that comes with the game is identical to the download version and all the strategy guides and FAQs I could find are very outdated (v1.05 at most).

For example, there is still no official answer regarding how fleet combat really works, short of a few short comments by some developers on the forums.

I couldn't find an explanation of what the new 'logistics' are either, etc.

Is there an updated (1.20) version of the manual ANYWHERE?

Cheers,

Im not to sure on this, but they might bring out a new manual for when AP is finished which everyone can download and use.

I dont worry about the manual anymore, there is huge amounts of info in these forums which go into more detail etc... Also if you have any questions just post them in the forums and most times within a day or 2 you will get the answers your seeking.

With regards to fleet combat are you talking about tactic's or how the calcuations are performed when attacking or defending? Im not to sure on this myself, I just try to always attack first because this game gives alot more advantages to the attacking party then the defending one.

Tx for your reply Monte Carlo-

Regarding fleet combat, I meant pretty much everything, as it is not documented properly. The docs mention 'a small def bonus' (what exactly is 'small'? -who knows). The forums had a post from a developer saying 'there is no bonus AT ALL - shouldn't be'.

Then we had that bug in pre 1.03 (or 1.05) where fleets of starfighters could take out dreadnoughts... then they fixed it.. but experience has proven that fleet can make A HUGE difference in outcome anyway, still. For example try taking on space sharks using battlecruisers in a stack rather than fleet - you'll see :)

So maybe that's still a bug, or maybe a feature - but no matter what it is, it's still undocumented.
