I rarely take more than 2-3 sectors. I like to build up slowly and expand slowly. Sometimes if my starting sector has 5 planets, I am content with 2 starting sectors. Ideally i like to have 7 planets going at the start. I then add new planets from minors or any AI that declares war on me. Eventually, when my influence builds up, they all topple like dominoes. But I tend to start slow and avoid the rush at the start. Let the AI spend its money developing the planets.

Where is the details on the new AP ships? How much does a Paladin heal per turn? If you have 2 in the same sector are they cumulative? How good/bad must you be to build Paladin and the other good/evil ships? And a helpful hint to the developers-on hardest levels AI races should never sell cultural/mining/income generating starbases.
And I have 2 alias-one is Zoshan and one is xietor. Annoying. I am going to try and have the xietor removed. I only post scores under Zoshan and I am currently 94th.
I typically play large, abundant, maso on the expansion setting. My scores for some reson never get out of the 30's. My tech and military scores are usually low. It will say i have researched 1 tech when i have researched many. It will say i have destoyed 1 enemy ship when I have laid waste to dozens. My society and economy score tend to be higher. Whatever is used to calculate scores need tweaking. When i totally dominate a game on the maso level, abundant planets
I can never seems to flip fundamentalists, scottlings, or the carotids(sp). Is there a reason these races are immune to flipping? I can't see making minor races harder than major races to flip.
My name on metaverse is zoshan. And I have a roommate so long games are no problem. Just play them when we both have time.
:D I was, at one time, 13th on metaverse. Took several months off from computers due to work. Came back, played a game and was 525! Well, more people must be playing, and that is great. Anyway, my question is this: Are the any plans ever to allow multiplayer games, or tactical combat option where you can control the ship(as in MOO2). The new update looks nice with map editor, 2 new races, and maybe some other perks, but the major changes would be the 2 I me
I havnt played in a few months. When I left the game I was ranked 13th and now I am 175th. I have reloaded the game and downloaded the 9/25 update from stardock. I am trying to start a new civilization and lo and behold one of my favorite picks-Planet quality-seems not to be offered. Also you cant take war party and then take even more hps as a choice? Whats up with the limited choices for starting races?
