As mentioned elsewhere, we are looking into what other taskbar features people would be interested in.
Take a look at open shell, startisback, 7+ taskbar tweaker, etc... Shouldn't be hard to see what features people want.
Right now the schedule is: Start11 (next weekish) Fences 4 (October) DeskScapes 11 (Fall) Groupy 2.0 (Fall) WindowBlinds 11 (2023) SkinStudio 11 (2023) As Windows 11 appears to kill Curtains (and Uxtheme.dll) we have our work cut out for us. I don't know how up-to-date this is but it's probably a good place to start.
... https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/SkinStudio%20Tutorial.zip
Also just tried again in "safe mode," with everything else presumably disabled. Flash and gone! Have also tried as administrator, not as administrator and in "compatibility" mode for Window XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1. Also tried meditating and sending good thoughts into the machine, at this point willing to
I have disabled Windows Defender and also the firewall. Also tried in "safe" mode with, am guessing, any other possibly interfering progs disabled as well. Looking at the history I saw a few other people had the same problem, but they did not get a solution either. Would so much like to try this, sigh.
Have you checked the Windows Event Logs to see if there's anything showing up there?
The first "products" link is dead (try it), but the one you just sent is good However, the difficulty is not the version, have already tried several of them including the latest, but nothing works? I don't have OD but that error looks to me like a Windows file permission error. AVs or even Windows could be deep scanning the file at the time of opening causing that error.
