It really would be nice if they just updated ObjectBar for Windows 10/11. I think it would solve some issues & just make it nice to have a custom taskbar again.
Well, over a month & still nothing. Either way, I just updated Brave & ran the test again & it doesn't seem to be hanging anymore. Though there still seems to be no way to get skins to work with it.
As mentioned elsewhere, we are looking into what other taskbar features people would be interested in.
Take a look at open shell, startisback, 7+ taskbar tweaker, etc... Shouldn't be hard to see what features people want.

I don't know how up-to-date this is but it's probably a good place to start.
... https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/SkinStudio%20Tutorial.zip
Meaning that Vivaldi browser doesn't get skinned, I've tried it too with no luck.

It's not a bug more than a missing feature. Start10 is seriously lacking in customization options, which is funny since these products are designed specifically for customization.
Went to "Event Viewer" now, did not see anything named Stardock or WindowBlinds, but then again have no idea how to understand what is there. Also just tried again in "safe mode," with everything else presumably disabled. Flash and gone! Have also tried as administrator, not as administrator and in "compatibility" mode for Window XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1. Also tried meditating and sending good thoughts into the machine, at this point willing to
I have disabled Windows Defender and also the firewall. Also tried in "safe" mode with, am guessing, any other possibly interfering progs disabled as well. Looking at the history I saw a few other people had the same problem, but they did not get a solution either. Would so much like to try this, sigh.
Have you checked the Windows Event Logs to see if there's anything showing up there?
The first "products" link is dead (try it), but the one you just sent is good However, the difficulty is not the version, have already tried several of them including the latest, but nothing works? It's ok, will have to let it go. Thanks and rgds.
It's likely Windows Defender or some other AV software deep scanning the executable for some reason, which by the time it gets done Windows thinks it failed to load.
Hello, I have reported the issue to Support and Dev, so far no news on it. I'll remind them again on it. Thank you. Basj, Stardock Community Assistant.
Ok, sounds good, thank you.
So no fix or anything, just exclude it & move on?
I'll give a second report on this one. I just installed it fresh (never previously installed), went & tried to download a file, moved the mouse around & it froze. I was able to kill the affected process thread & it started working again.
To answer the question though, no you can't just change the titlebar with WindowBlinds.
Actually you can, if you remove everything from the taskbar/start menu sections it will leave them unskinned.

The original link just redirects back to the gallery so I'm guessing it's not available anymore.
WinCleaner is probably not something you should rely on for reliable information, it's pretty much scam software.
I don't have OD but that error looks to me like a Windows file permission error. AVs or even Windows could be deep scanning the file at the time of opening causing that error.
