Fairly straightforward, unsure if anyone has any ideas on a solution. If i use Multiplicity to wake my secondary from sleep I cannot seamless to it. If i restart the multiplicity service on my main via services.msc or via the taskbar/gui, i can immediately mouseover. Its like it doesnt rediscover it when waking from sleep. For now ive created a batch to restart the service but thats mighty clunky :)

Hey neil - I cant find the option youre referring to but nothing has changed (by my hand at least) in a looong time. Since i set up multiplicity when i purchased it. Apart from the saga with wake-on-lan way back when, its been entirely uneventful. Im inclined to think its some windows update or multiplicity update or driver/network update thats causing the detection of the pc to be delayed. after more and more restarting to try and eliminate variables,

FWIW kvm mode shows the screen (login screen) but when i activate KVM I cant interact. Unsure if that points to something in particular. seems to "see" the computer fine, both figuratively and literally.. but the seamless/interacting part gets knocked out after a restart.

I do have two secondaries yes. Primary > Secondary Desktop > Secondary Laptop In my previous post after restarting the Secondary Desktop if i attempted to mouse over to it, the behavior was like it wasnt on at all. well i was wrong about the "only when windows prompts for a restart" portion. I just restarted manually and no seamless to my secondary. event viewer isnt showing anything related to multiplicity, service is running, and i can mouse right past the secondary to my laptop just fine. though i just discovered all I have to do is double click/open multiplicity out of my tray for it to restore my ability to seamless into it, not actually shutdown/restart the client. <br

Thing is, the service (on the secondary) has to be running, as a restart of the client on the primary triggers it to begin functioning again.

Hey. Thanks for the reply. Yes it is current. I assumed it was a fluke at first so didn’t pay much attention until that fluke became an annoyance. Now it does seem to be tied to when windows requests the restart as opposed to me choosing to do so. That’s not 100% though. Will put it through the paces and confirm one way or the other when I get home. I did have it set to connect via IP in the settings

So for the longest this was not an issue. However I have also not used my secondary for quite some time so I'm unsure which update or what broke the functionality. Either way. Whenever i restart my secondary (say for a windows update) I can no longer mouse over to it. The only way to return the functionality is to close multiplicity on my primary and restart it. So im pretty new to working with excel, thus i just now discovered this. I was opening worksheets, and no matter what i did my worksheet count kept going up up up up. The process was never closing properly. ooooooiiii im back. So this rears its ugly head again. I use torguard VPN. Like most VPNs it intentionally increases its interface metric to ensure traffic goes over the VPN as to prevent leaks. No harm no foul. Until of course, I try to use multiplicity to wake on lan. Once again, everything can wake the other pc's on the lan fine EXCEPT multiplicity. well. i tried a screenshot, but when i take of the kvm it captures it like its "supposed" to look/how it looks on the secondary, so i couldnt illustrate it. So this is relatively minor. its an annoyance, it makes seeing things difficult, but beyond that - falls within the realm of aesthetic. I can only presume this is due to using windows dark theme (havent had a chance to test) but i noticed when KVM'd into a machine, my cursor is turning black. and the initial consensus was proper. Finally figured it out. Using a command line WoL applet i was able to ascertain the pc was getting packets over that port. So this is an annoyance more than anything. It seems like half the time when I make a kvm connection, it shows up, but then when i go to click; nothing. if i close the connection and re-open, the 2nd time it always works perfectly. Any hypothesis on whats going on? connecting too fast? too slow? perhaps related to the WoL misery im experiencing?

So its my understanding that multiplicity uses a temp folder for copy/paste/transfer operations. its also my understanding that no file size limit exists. I tried to copy/paste a ~4GB iso from one pc to the next, and while the transfer did initiate, and showed ~8MBs which led me to believe it would take roughly 10m.
