also noticed on the apps that DO send wake on lan packets that are properly received, that app is set to send on 7 (or 9) and its always received on what seems to be a random port > 50000 each time i send another packet, the port seems to go up by 1. so given that information, do i have a means to find out if its the receiving port, or the sending port thats causing the struggle? I assume 30564 is the port its sent from, and it leaves my pc - hits my

this is one of those scenarios id then assume it was port related, yet it works fine if i swap roles between primary/secondary. So i am at a complete loss as why its not working from 1 specific app over 1 specific port in 1 direction. im at your mercy.
adding an option to choose your port might not be a bad idear for future iterations /shrug
well, at least i know the issue now. its not getting the packets. nada. zilch. I disabled firewall on the primary and secondary just in case. tested using the same two apps as you, gets them over port 7 from Magic Packet (hence it working). Does not get them from multiplicity (hence the not working part apparently ;p) what would you suggest?

ah, well that could be where the hang up is. we shall see. I know most use 7 or 9 right? why the deviation from the norm? I still havent gotten to testing, but i will soon and report back with the results of course. Once thats working all salt will have left the table :P

you sir are correct, just booted a win10 VM that i use for exactly that purpose (cross referencing) and it is in fact off. Whether its the syncing or the history, im unsure. A bit hesitant to try and test that theory lol. hoping that being keyed in on the featureset thats causing the issue - perhaps it will be obvious to the lead dev which is more likely :P

Ohhh so history and clipboard sharing are off by default (in windows 10?) its been so long, and its never caused any issue (though ive used synergy and mwb for years and their "sharing" is much more rudimentary than multiplicities) that i forgot i had enabled it manually - assumed it was that way by default. either way, day 2 now - zero crashes on any machine with history & sharing off. and please dont thank me. as big of an arsehole as ive be

Extremely preliminary but ive disabled microsoft clipboard history & sharing on all 3 pc's yesterday afternoon. (not sure which if any would have been the culprit but at this point im not patient enough to take half steps) either way, no crash yet and have done plenty of copy and pasting. if it stays gone for a few days im gonna venture that was the culprit, and suggest its looked into by the developer to find out why heads are butting and which portion (the history

dont wanna spam the post with unhelpful information, but the crashing definitely revolves around copy/paste. just copied from notepad++ (elevated) again to a kvm'd laptop, wouldnt take. (to elevated cmd window again but i dont know that its relevant) moused over laptop multiplicity tray icon, poof.

ok, so doubtful its limited to KVM, as it just happened over seamless to my secondary desktop. copy and pasting from notepad++ (its running as admin if that would have any bearing) to a cmd window on the secondary. didnt work the first time, thought i might not have hit copy - re-tried with another copy and when i moved over, still wouldnt paste. then i knew :P
Well, ive went into my gateway (even though it should have no bearing) and disabled packet filtering, turned off its firewall. I have disabled windows firewall. I have disabled all non microsoft services. I have disabled all startup items. nothing is running but multiplicity. Wont wake the other pc's Normally id beginning thinking somethings busted with the sending of said packets and the current intel driver relative to my nic.&n

well, it just crashed on the laptop for the first time. Yea not really the scope of this post, but i did test the WoL vs firewall being disabled with no change. gonna do a clean boot today but now that it hasnt helped you, outside of maybe affecting WoL im less hopeful. As i did mention, it always seems to happen when copy and pasting. (just not every copy and paste) so im gonna try to find some pattern or similarity with the trigger/catch it exactly when it happens. Try to suss out some kind of pattern. <br
