Unless, like someone else speculated, Steam updates their lists at 1pm (-4GMT) so it might pop up within the next 10-15 min. or so... Then again, it might be quite some time.
Steam updating their pages doesn't have much to do with it. It's still set for this afternoon, but we can't give specific times.
Island Dog
Ah. I have no idea. All I'm concerned about is EST and getting the alpha out. ;)
Island dog, I'm highly disappointed... You don't have GalCiv I or GalCiv II installed on the computer... how can you do such a thing? Are you saying GalCiv III alpha is that good? By the way, what timezone will receive the midnight release of the game? (obviously released the March 28th @ midnight) I'd be happy with the longitudinal value.
Alpha is still alpha. ;) I'm not sure
Eventually, it will look like this. [e digicons][/e]
.... I'm in the steam client beta but it doesnt show up there either after a restart. It's likely that the appid hasn't been published yet. If anyone has the AppID when you registered the game it would help to sneak around in the SteamDB to find out what's up
The alpha hasn't been released yet.
Was something supposed to happen after I activated the product on Steam, because there are no new game options?
The download is not live yet, so it's just having a bit more patience now. :)

This afternoon. Not too much longer. :)
It will most likely be this afternoon. We have to make sure everything is set to go first. :)
More precisely, with the Galactic Civilizations II Ship Editor. The GC2 Ship Editor is about 6 years old now and people are still creating and showing off some really cool ship designs with it. This is awesome, but I can't wait to see what people will come up with the new ship editor in GalCiv 3. I would sometimes spend more hours designing ships than I actually did playing the game. I've seen lots o

No, Bitcoin is not going to be an option at least anytime soon.
fpr those whom preorder will stardock email steam keys or what..? (I don't yet have a valve account; the only reason I'm associating myself with steam is for this game)
Yes, GC3 will only be distributed with Steam keys regardless if it's the alpha or full release.

Reading forums and gathering feedback are a big part of what we do, and we've been doing for a while. You do have to understand though that not everything can get a response, but we do try our best to address as much as possible. Also, I'd advise changing your username as it we don't allow any type of imitations. ;)
PCGamesN has a great Galactic Civilizations 3 article up where they talk to Stardock CEO Brad Wardell and GC3 Lead Designer Paul Boyer. "Reading between the lines of an interview with Galactic Civilizations designer Paul Boyer and Stardock CEO Brad Wardell, they seem a little anxious abou
We've had several of these threads around the forums for games in general, but I thought it would be a good time to start one specifically for Gal Civ. We have lots of players from way back and players who are venturing into Galactic Civilizations for the first time with GC3. Lets take a moment and introduce yourselves and maybe a quick bit about your history with Galactic Civilizations if you are a previous player.</p
We stopped doing physical versions a while ago for several reasons, but digital distribution is what most people buy and want these days. Physical releases have been addresses by several members of the team including Frogboy over the years.
Please don't post entire articles from another website. A small sample and a link to their site is proper. I've edited your post.
