We can't go through and check each word in every language and compare it to their slang and such. If you find something offensive in another language, you can feel free to PM it to me and I'll take a look. ;)
Quoting Island Dog, reply 78 We're going to be updating the system to allow space/numbers, and allowing people to submit an edit to their name. It probably won't be until next week as we have to get the system in place. Yay! Will there be a full front page post/facebook post/etc when the edit form goes live?
There will be a post about it.

We're going to be updating the system, so just keep an eye for updates and you'll be able to update/edit your submissions.
Even if you can't catch the live stream, you'll be able to see the replay as well. :)
Considering Windows 7 maintains 60% market share compared to ~25% to 8/8.1, as well as being used by businesses almost 100% of the time, it would be shockingly stupid for Microsoft to not support it.
Being that Windows 9 is on the horizon, I doubt they would support Windows 7. It would be a good motivator to get people on the latest OS.
The support forum would be more suited to items where people need help with something. The Early feedback forum is best for just that.....feedback. :)
For the love of all that is holy please post all the rejected names!
There really hasn't been a ton of them. The majority of those were possible copyright/trademark issues that we're not going to take a chance on. People spent good money on this, so very few wasted that by using something just plain silly. :)
I love you all... but I surely hope some of those listed get... well, sent back for revisions, even if it is an "approved" list. Some of them just seem to... not fit in the universe. Though... I suppose who says it has to. :/
The submissions now are picking out any obvious rejections with trademarks, and that sort of thing. There will still be discretion when the devs put the final list in the game. &nb
Thank you for your support! :)
No worries, I thought it was funny. :)
Really, was it too much to censor names that are obvious 2 or 3 words in English and don't sound like name at all?
Actually, you should see some of the ones I have rejected. People need to be unique in their names, and if they put a word or two together, so be it. Is it really that big of deal?
ally fun Sci-fi/fantasy references (yeah, Cthulhu!), historical (Armstrong ^^), or smart joke (can't wait to see the dreaded "Imastar" finally accepted!). But really, that will be a PAIN to see stupid things like "IslandDog" or "Tassadarpaladin"... Really, was it too much to censor names that are obvious 2 or 3 words in English and don't sound like name at all? I'm maybe an old dumbass, yeah, but I hate that. Really. Also, I'm a bit skeptic about names like "THAILAND"..

Just a reminder again:
We keep open minds and Galactic Civilizations III is certainly not a series that takes itself so seriously that we have to outlaw anything funny or off-beat, but profanity, trademark- or copyright-infringing content, or any kind of slurs or hate speech will not be accepted.
It's recommended to be as unique as possible. Naming starts after other sci-fi inspired planets and worlds most likely won't be accepted for

Yeah sorry I was mistaken. No spaces.
Folks, a reminder not to directly copy and paste things from the documents here in the forums. ;)
Yes, as the thread says when it gets close to the beta as the Founder's Elite will be discontinued. Try not to wait until the last minute though. ;)
Quoting ParagonRenegade, reply 1 Do you have a 64-bit OS? That's what happens when you don't :C A 64-bit OS is absolutely critical.
