Ryan, What size maps are you running? For some bizarre reason, my Tiny games crash regularly, but it's never happened on any other map size. COULD be a coincidence. The game manual also suggest checking your version of DirectX if this problem occurs. Apparently there's a "development" version of 8.0 out there that causes some problems with GalCiv. You can try updating that if all else fails.

Rivard, Your nickname is just a display title and shouldn't have an effect. Your PLAYER name is what the Metaverse uses to link a game submission to you, and that's showing up in your profile as jonesmj2. Try submitting one under that name and see what happens. Master Yoda, fellow Jedi, and guests, Asking people (umm, including me) to remember how to spell "Tal-Der Riesen" in the chat room at 5:00 AM proved unrealistic - I've followed my Master's lead of changing nicknames twice in the same week. Besides, as a Senator I should probably use a name that people have heard of before. Apologies to whoever grabbed "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "Ben Kenobi" as nicknames already, but you're not posting on the boards and you're not in the Metaverse.

Assuming that the blue pirate with a quill is Gerakken, there's a problem. We can see him. NOBODY sees the Spymaster outside the Survey Ship of Doom...we just find traces of his presence afterwards. Disturbances in the Force, cigarette butts, etc. Might want to replace him with EBZeroMatrix passed out in a tequila coma.
