That one is data, not hardcoded. It lives in Data/Gameplay/GlobalDefs.xml, in the OligarchyCorporation blocks.

There are three of them, Corp_Research, Corp_Influence and Corp_Manufacturing, and each has its own BaseTransferRate sitting at 0.06. Raise that to 0.10 or 0.15 and the per link share moves with it.

One thing to know before you settle on 0.15: LeveragedBuyoutTransferRate in the same block is already 0.15, so a normal link would then pay the same rate as a buyout. The buyout would still differ in that the host world gets no reciprocal share from you.

Before you change 0.06, work out what you are actually pricing. On the rates as Haalee set them out, the number that decides anything is not the link rate on its own. It is the link rate against the 0.15 a buyout pays.

At 0.06, a buyout is worth two and a half links.

At 0.10, it is worth one and a half.

At 0.15, it is worth exactly one, and the only thing left between them is the reciprocal share the host does not get.

So going to 0.15 does not make corporations two and a half times better. It takes a decision out of the game and leaves a formality in its place, and you would be doing that to fix a number that felt small.

Mine would go to 0.10 and stay there for a full game before I touched it again. The buyout stays clearly better, the difference is big enough to feel within a turn or two, and if 0.10 still reads as too low by the end of it then the problem is not the rate and raising it further will not find it.
