No, that would be the expansion pack...

forceinfinity, the article you are referring to does not state that the PLAYERS can download the strategies from metaverse. Like Frogboy mentioned, the AI allready use the strategies from metaverse and hence fullfilling what frogboy promised in that article. The only difference is that it's done manually instead of automatic, bacause of all the cheese tactics.
Between Norway and Finland? Yup, it's two different countries with complete different languages. Time to blow the dust of that old geography book of yours... ;)
I just want to welcome our newest member, Bjørn Sjølli. I've made you an senator. The federation is growing...
So what you are saying Daveman, is that if you send two fleets of transports and use, let's say, mass drivers with first attack with fleet 1, killing of billions without harming the planet or infrastructure. Right after you invade with 2nd fleet and kill off the remaining survivers from attack 1?
I don't know about the disbanding, but why don't you just sell them or give them away to an opponent? You can sell/give away multiple ships easely... Just my 2 cents..
It is not much, but nevertheless cool. http://www.galciv.com/xuniverse/
eh.. The AI can't win by tech victory. So no need to turn of the tech victory option. It only limits your own ways of winning
Well, you can start with increasing the game difficulty...
...or norwegians :)
This is the beginning of the end. The Viking Federation have decided to take over the galaxy. Your downfall is given. Beware. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Federation. You will pay the price for your lack of vision. But for some of you, all is not lost. Those who have viking bloods floating in their veins can join our side, and hence not be destroyed. Darth Vader, one of our beaten enemies, captured the viking essence when saying: "It is your de
Oh, I forgot. Please make the wormholes stick...
Territorial integrity, like mentioned earlier, would certainly boost this (allready) great game a lot. No one could pass your border (without some kind of spy/cloaking tech and of course in war) without permission from the sectors owner. This would open up a hole new range of diplomatic possibilities. A lot of people have mentioned the need for more races. I would rather like to see an improvement to the races allready implemented. Instead of using time and money on making new races, us
The link is dead (:(
The random event Dearmad is taking about can be avoided by putting some of your $$ in espionage, consquently preventing the peace plan going down the drain...
Like LordTheRon points out, giving the AI the ability to score a techvictory will put up a challenge. If the AI beats you to techvictory, you loose. Let's say you get a sort of warning saying that one of the AI are close to techvictory, you must either put all you resorces on research, to try beating AI to techvictory, or exterminate him by military or culture means. Just like in the civ series. If the human player are the only one allowed techvictory, that's like a fr
I totally agree. This is the most well spent money I've ever spent on a videogame. I really feel I got something back. Thank you! ~SDC~
When you go from a neutral alignment to good, the good skin looks very bad. Some of the text are put on top of each other and so on. You can solve the problem by saving and reloading. The skin then looks the way it was intended to do.
When you use transport ships to invade other planets, the transportvessels are just lost. Why is that? Why can't you just use the same transport over and over again like in the civ series? Are the transports build for one use only? I have trouble finding that reliable, when that very same civilisation have invented things like hyper drive and cloaking. How hard can it be to invent a ship which can survive a landing? Just my two cents :)
What is your computer specs?
