yea, i was using mods and a custom faction, but i just tested this with one of the core factions (terrans), no mods, no map editor map, and with the "show all ship designs" off. And i'm still getting the same thing, i can only scale the parts uniformally. All the ship styles i use are the default ship styles. does anyone know if not having the mercinaries expansion could be doing this?

Hello, i'm trying to figure out what happened to the ship designer. i used to be able to manipulate the rotation and offset all parts in the SD, but now i can only scale the parts and even then i can't scale the parts in one direction, it's all sides. i have no idea as to what did this. i have mods on (though i don't have any mods that add parts or do anything involving the SD), show all ship designs and parts, and show over capacity designs. could any of these prevent me from

New to modding and i was wondering which of the XML files in the data folder i need to look at. my plan is to change the buildings that give and ideology point every ten turns to maybe a point each turn. any ideas where i should start looking.
