Unfortunately for me, I'm starting to get the same bugs in 6.1 +add-in 1 which haunted me in the beta 5's. Way deep into the game (turns +/- 400) and the game keeps hanging on the battle viewer screen, so I have no other option but to kill it in the task manager. With a good chance of it going well the next time after reloading the auto-save, but again stopping at the next battle I want to view.

Don't know if anyone else spotted it? But after researching the planetary defense dome, the Original planetary defense system should be updated. However what happens after the update is: - No icon for the planetary defense dome (tooltip is there, but no picture) - I am able to build the planetary defense system again?! Glad to see the UI glitch solved where the mined resources and relics where mixed, now
Well guess what.... Seems I missed out on a lot of the graphic eye candy bling bling...graphic options default setting is low quality, and when you set it to high quality (bloom enabled) My starbase problem is gone as well! ;-) Thanks to the patch notes for beta 6 patch 1.1
Hope it will be fixed soon ;-) Caus' at the moment, I am unable to play the game unfortunately..because I need my starbases and the game hangs in 'upgrade starbase' for next turn :-D And I really want to check this one out
Ah...same here
Ehm.... First starbase setup on 6.1, where's my construction screen??? :S
This is something I noticed when the terrans attacked my starbase which has 250 structural points. I won, but I sustained heavy damage and my starbase only had a structural integrity of 34. So what's your point? Well, it seems to heal/repair itself....but only at a staggering low 1 point per turn!! So it would take me 216 turns, to get back at full strength!! In my opinion, this is way too slow, that
PS Some of the specialisations, I wonder how they function/work For instance in research I came upon a choice for a ruling party, which asked me to choose between more money/more influence / more manufacturing etc. I choose one, but I also traded another with the Iconians +/- 40 turns after I had researched my own. So, what does this mean, I suddenly have two ruling parties now, and have the positive effects from both? A
Several of us ran into that in Beta 5, I was hoping it was fixed in 6. I'd encourage you to open a support ticket to make sure the developers know it's still there. It seemed to me that it happened after some number of battle viewer and/or invasion screens, like each was leaking memory or some other resource.
I noticed that too in beta 5, I could only manually see one battle p
So I am way in..turn 384 with an immense universe and all the races. And......I am stuck It's not a complete crash, so I cannot send in any bug reports, but the game freezes when battle and planetary invasion screens should be displayed (I can still hear the sound effects). And the only option is to kill it in the task manager (memory usage about 3800 Mb of my 8 Gb machine) and hope that it will get better after a reboot and reload Also I
PS I do hope they fix the color scheme problems, and the bleak/dark screens Because I just had my first pirate battle..and I have to say: IT LOOKS AWESOME!! Hope to see a lot more great battles when I meet other civ's :-)
Ok this is funny: I did change the colour from my custom faction from purple to bright yellow And then I also didn't have a problem with the outline from the constructors anymore ;-)...the outline changed from ( I still think it is red), to a bright white which is easily noted against the background ;-)
You can always try to edit you race and change its' color. I know it's not the color you wanted but until things get tweaked to your liking (assuming that is something that will be tweaked) it's better than just scraping your race and starting over.
I was already planning on doing so at the moment, but it doesn't seem like the only problem with lighting.
Don't know if it is the same problem I see: but there is definitely something wrong with the lighting (saw another post as well, but I started a new game) My custom faction uses standard purple , but I'm simply barely able to see my ships against the background when I zoom out, which I like to do a lot to get a good overview of the tactical situation.
Yups that's fast ;-) But it was something I already noticed in the footage I saw.. Although I'm sure HDR lighting will have lots of advantages in the battle viewer, it has negative side effects on other screens (if they are connected and I'm not concluding things which aren't true) Ship designer screen: too dark, missing out the details now Ideolo
Great!!! uh...speak to you guys next week? :-P Ready to plunge into space ;-)
Please tell me it will be released today : Tuesday at 12.00 AM your local time ;-)
Just a quick thought... I noticed you are able to de anchor shipyards and move hem to a more optimal position. I think this is a briljant feature since with development and acquiring more/better planets it can be the smart thing to do. So why this post? Well simple..... Why is this feature not integrated into starbases as well?? Starbase influence can be extended v
Ah!!!!!! There is my answer!! LOL
Also funny in this respect is the diplomacy screen.. If I send in a constructor to mine a resource in alien space I get a message that the other guy is annoyed with it and demands I pull back my base. But MY diplomacy options, I don't have the means to object or demand withdrawal?? Besides that, I totally agree with <a id="ctl00_ctl00__Content__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl06__LinkUser" class="hand" title="
Ok, Well here is my frustration at the moment. I'm well in the game (turn 511), so very late game indeed! researched almost everything (I have to say, late game mechanics are a bit boring, just filling in the gaps in research/ culture so strong it swallows up all my rival's planets/ no one dares to declare war/ irritating constructors polluting my territory thereby ruining my tactical view etc. ) and starting to crush my enemies. My first
Hadn't thought about that pragmatic thing...but indeed, it would be a welcome addition if it was mentioned in the diplomacy screen and also how many turns to go.
First of all, this is shaping up to be a great game, I also played some new StarDrive II and am frustrated by certain game mechanics in it. But it's not there yet! Here are some of the strange things and bugs I found after some intense gameplay as a custom faction - Savegame issue : I still have problems simply saving the game, a ~ will show up in
I'm having the same problems as well... And not a continuation of an .81 beta save, but two times now I started a new game with a custom race....well into the 300/400 turns region...and I'm simply unable to declare war on anyone?? Does this perhaps have something to do with being UP chairman??
